MSI/Tallahassee Question! (Potentially silly)
Hello!
So, I'm currently vacationing in Clearwater, FL from Atlanta, GA and will be driving to Tallahassee Thursday for Day 1 of MSI then back to Atlanta. I've had my dog with me down here but now our plans for him have fallen through and I'm not quite sure what to do. He is a 17 week old Australian Shepard and I was hoping someone might have some good advice for what I could do with him during the event. Most boarding facilities in the area close @ 7 p.m. and will not allow me to pick him up after that.
I know it's a silly question, but my dog means everything to me. I am a 25 year old Army Veteran who deals with severe anxiety and PTSD - I got my dog with the hopes of training him to serve as a therapy dog, not only for me, but for children in hospitals or the elderly in assisted living. However, he's too young to be formally certified by agencies like TDI (required to be a minimum of 12 months old) and therefore isn't allowed to be taken into facilities that prohibit non-service animals.
Long story short, does anyone local to the area or just more informed than I have any ideas of what I can do with my little guy during the event or am I just out of luck? I don't mind missing the event for his sake, but obviously that inconvenience would extend to my roommate coming to the event with me.
