4 thoughts going into the Regional Qualifier

Here's this week 10 thoughts from @meanmisterkien!

This is the last chance for these teams to qualify for Worlds. All of them have compelling arguments to become representatives for the North American region, but only one will join TSM and IMT. Which team do you think will advance?

I can feel it. This year we're going to send the 3 teams we wanted to send last year. TSM, IMT, and C9.

Really hope C9 loses. I don't think they deserve to be in worlds after their terrible loss against DIG and their poor performance during summer. Love the team, C9 will always be my favorite team, but they need some tough love, a soul-shattering loss, and if they can handle picking up the broken up pieces, a fresh start next year.

Unless C9 really stepped up their game, the only "worthy" participants are Dig and Clg. We've seen Clg is the better team. Case closed.

Can't wait until Flyquest reverse sweeps DIG and CLG, and go 3-1 against C9. Prepare for the miracle run to commence.

I'm gonna go for DIG since their macro is improving but CLG would probably be on top

CLG vs DIG is a lot different than CLG vs the world (literally meaning Worlds). I'd rather send C9 than OmarGod.

I'm just going to say, it's been like a month since we've last seen FlyQuest play, they could actually upset Dignitas.
If Hai actually plays aggressive mids I do see FQ winning the series 3-1, however FQ will most likely play conservative mids like(Ori) in which Hai is 20-25 on her so, it could be a quick series for Dignitas if they actually beat FQ in just champion select. Hai is also like 24-5 in his career against DIG. One thing to note is Cho mid, I think we could see a comeback in the mid lane, kinda like a Galio, just a tank mage to soak up the damage, while Moon doesn't seem to actually know how to play champions that can't tank or actually team-fight but only assassins.

Not sure why everyones already counting out C9. Yea they didn't look great in quarterfinals but Dignitas was exposed and CLG has always been maddeningly inconsistent. I think C9 is the favorites personally. They do have some consistency issues but when they are at their best they are as good as TSM.

CLG is the best team to represent NA at worlds(from these teams). They have the experience and they play a style that plays well into other regions. They are also really good at adapting to meta's

IS THAT A MOTHERF**ING BERSERK REFERENCE??

Speerhausen9/9/2017, 1:04:18 AM2 votes

CLG is the only team that can shock the rest of the world. Zikz always has something up his sleeve, it would truly be a shame not to see CLG at worlds this year.

Not sure if it's just me, but I'd personally like to see Dignitas make it to worlds only because this would literally be the perfect year to do it. The rest of the teams in the "Gauntlet" aren't as good as previous years (no C9 juggernaut teams), the quality of their players is significantly better than it's ever been (rarely have the words "dignitas carries" ever been paired together), and you kinda have to ask yourself if any of the other teams will really "gain" much from being there with CLG having a giant omar-sized place to exploit and flyquest/c9 looking ridiculously weak in summer outside of mid/jg 2v8's. If I had to put numbers on it, I'd say 40% CLG/40% Dig/15% C9/5% flyquest, essentially making the "deciding series" the second one.

I'm rooting for C9 (first started watching NALCS during last years Summer Finals and Gauntlet) but I doubt they'd be the best team for international play. I just don't buy the Contractz hype and while OmarGod has had a lot of inconsistencies, the rest of his team picks up the slack. The C9 game plan seems too easy to counter since they seem to only support mid now, they'd just get destroyed by any team with a game plan. My heart says C9 vs. FQ but my gut says CLG ftw.

Coming off of seeing FLY versus DIG... yeah, Altec really needs to get in the game. I'm going to admit, I'm not the most knowledgeable about the teams or players, having only started really getting into watching these games recently... but Altec pretty much lost DIG all three games. And the team as a whole seemed unable to cooperate till it was far too late in each game. They didn't even seem to improve in that aspect from game to game. Ssumday did amazing up top in the last two games, but he never really made a move to help his team. His builds were focused on his lane opponent only, and his playstyle in general seemed more like what I'd expect a solo-queue player to be like.
