are tournaments more fun to watch?

It doesn't matter, whether regional champions are less likely to adapt, for they are used to winning, if the patches/riot is to blame for changing the playground or if these upsets are just coincidence - tournaments are just way more intense!

E-sports used to be all about a chain of tournaments, much like Tennis and its ATP tour peaking in four Grand-Slams a year. League of Legends is all about it's League (!), more like football. with a long season leading to this tremendous hype around WORLDS and a US-sport-style playoff to get there.

If I had to choose, I'd go with the system in place - but tbh, I wish we could have the best of them both! Any ideas? :p
