What can I say about the League of Legends esports community? You're awesome. You create some of the coolest stuff out there, and it helps everyone else get closer to the game and the competition. That’s why we want to help you out! Every week, I'm going to round up some of the best interviews, infographics, tier lists--you name it--and put it front and center on Lolesports.com. Have tips? Just drop me a line at [email protected] and I'll take a look! If it’s awesome and esports-related, we want it here.

Interviews

This Oscar award-winning moment was pulled out by Snowball. xPeke baits the trailing ROCCAT into engaging on Fnatic by pretending to throw skillshots at Baron. Little did they know the rest of Fnatic was just behind the wall of Baron pit. The eSports Guy released another installment of his "Speaks" series, this time with Cloud9's Hai. What I enjoy most about these interviews are the combination of his own impression of the interviewee and his on point questions. This gives readers a good impression of what the pros are like in real life during normal interactions and also provides great insights. Hai discusses the team's dynamic and preparation habits as well as where he sees his career headed--check it out! They might not have sealed an International Wildcard spot for Worlds, but they sure came close. Legacy Esports became the Oceania representatives after beating out historic powerhouse Team Immunity in one of the best sets I've seen in a long while, making their story an interesting one. Over at Team Dignitas' website, Rampant recently posted a great interview with the whole team about what they expected out of gamescom. I wish I had found this sooner, but it's still a great read!

It's rare that anyone talks about community support as a bad thing, but can it make a team complacent? Paravine talks to Team Dignitas about their internal dynamic and why the greatly loved team is struggling. Paravine has broken down exactly what they believe Dignitas has to do to bounce back and beat TSM. They examine the team's early success, what has gone wrong after their strong streak, and what they can fix moving forward. Thinking about moving into Playoffs and the World Championship, I found this breakdown of different team comps to be really useful--particularly if you haven't watched a ton of esports. I like using articles like this to help explain certain comps to friends better than I could myself. Cloth5 does a great job explaining the characteristic, typical picks, and effectiveness of popular team comps. Becoming more familiar with these should make watching champion select and following the casters' conversations a bit easier!
