Driving from Arizona for semi finals here soon and hoping to find someone from the community to either crash with or pay for a couch/room. We can play some together for the weeks leading up as a screening...
I don't think driving to a new area without at least having a backup plan for a place to stay is a good idea. You very well may find someone who wants to take you up on your offer, but I would look at hotel rates in the area and bring enough money with you for an emergency detour from your plan.
I mean if you plan on going from Arizona to I think Boston(Have a safe trip) you should just stop and rest at a hotel/motel/ somewhere instead of asking around for a room from the community, um, it's just not safe honestly. I personally would pay $ for a room from a hotel of sorts knowing I'm safe, belongings etc, oppose to possibly getting my stuff stolen from a stranger is all, just me tho. Again, have a safe trip
And they said hitch hiking was dangerous. Now everyone is hitch sleeping.
