So I got bored and worked this out, the crazy situation that is a long shot but would end us with some interesting tie breaker situations if it works out this way. If IMT beats both CLG and DIG they will end 9-9. If FLY beats FOX and TL they will end 9-9. If DIG beats C9 and loses to IMT they will be 9-9. If CLG loses to IMT and NV they will end 9-9. I know this is a long shot, though NV has shown improvement and C9 are showing some problems, and I could believe the rest of the outcomes as very possible. This would end up with 4 teams vying for the last 3 playoff spots with 9-9 records. When you look at the head to heads, all but one of the matchups (IMT is 2-0 vs DIG) are split at 1-1. Stay tuned Sunday, we might be in for a lot of bonus LoL!
C9 was looking really good at first, but their current play is a bit sloppy. They don't look nearly as confident, their pick and bans are mediocre, their team strats are starting to fall apart, and individual play seems to be lacking. I mean, Jensen, where's the god-level plays? Letting enemy mid-laners and junglers treat you like a silver.
Oh, hey look. TSM clinched #1 seed. Who ever would have seen this coming? lol ;P

just throwing this out there but...i think P1 looks like the best team heading into week 9 and possibly playoffs. Like TSM is on top but i feel like going to three games with P1, IMT, and NV shows that that team isn't completely sound at all. C9 looked good at the beginning, but are now stumbling into the playoffs all becuz they clinched their ticket already. P1 will not only be fighting in week 9, but i don't think they'll be stopping even when playoffs start. Week 9 will give everyone a sense of where P1 really stands amongst these teams since they face both TSM and C9, and my gut says they will take them both down. X)

I'm not understanding how TSM has clinched the #1 seed. If you look at the tie-breaking scenario of match record then H2H then game record of H2H then overall game record, TSM has not clinched the #1 seed.
Match Record (TSM sits at 14-2), (C9 at 12-4)
TSM loses remaining 2 games and C9 wins remaining 2 games. Places both match records at 14-4.
Then we move to H2H which has them at 1-1. However, then it moves to game record from the H2H. C9 2-0, 1-2 giving them a 3-2 H2H game record. TSM 0-2, 2-1 giving them a 2-3 H2H game record.
Under these rules if C9 wins out and TSM loses their next 2 then C9 would claim the #1 seed.
This is why when C9 and TSM sat at equal records in the standings C9 was still the #1 team.

When C9 lost to TSM and gave Cloud 9 their first L of the season I thought they were going to become even better than before, because they lost which it's better to lose some where in the middle of the season than it is to have all of that pressure of going 18-0 and possibly losing in the playoffs going down 0-1 and forgetting what its like to lose and having to go down deep to get the drive to win, as well as losing to the best team in NA for some time now as well as last year TSM no shame in losing a game to an equal team.
Cloud 9 didn't improve, the once pick bans that their coach gave to the team didn't make much sense or it wasn't executed by the players so either coach Reapered is at fault for having bad pick ban, the players either don't know how to execute down the stretch or it's the easy road and C9 just hit a speed bump; either way they need to fix it because TSM and P1 is looking to be the Finals instead of C9 being in the picture.
TSM are winning but it's ugly, nasty wins! Svenskeren keeps dying early and often and it's starting to remind me of how Worlds went, we all remember Worlds 2016 Sven don't we ? This team either gets an advantage early or they don't win because they don't seem to have the ability to come back in games, and it's been like that for about 3 years now with them.
This is absolutely pathetic. I would love to work for Riot. To write for riot. I would do it for free. But i would write detailed articles. That actually talked about the teams we love. Not......3 sentences about week 10. Where are the articles that detail the matches from the past week? I may not be some incredible writer. But I would at least write an amusing article that lets the fans read what happened. Or....for this post. How about some actual thoughts on week 9. Look at the CLG post to really see how to post absolutely nothing but what a few announcers have said a few times xDDD
