Griffin beat G2, IG beat Griffin, FPX beat Griffin. It should be no surprise that FPX is better than G2

It wasn't rigged. But your logic is hella flawed. Cause I can claim FPX tied in group with SPY, G2 stomped the entire LEC 2 splits in a row, So G2 should be beating FPX easily.

FPX were just better than G2 today and G2 didn't have answers. 3 G2 players played way bellow their tournament standards. It was just obvious G2 were not ready to be world champions.

And it's not exactly easy to scrim, prepare and find counters for Nautilus Rumble Galio mid. No team plays them like FPX do

G2 has never beaten a Chinese team. Their play style is countered by LPL play style, it always has been as shown in previous worlds, G2 had an easy Group stage and then they got to vs SKT who was never going to win because they are only a Hype train and not at all resembling of what they were

Actually last year, the old roster of G2 who lost all splits won against RNG who were the Worlds favourites in what's probably the biggest upset on Worlds history, or close.

They should change midlaner imo if they want to win Worlds next year.

G2's drafts were so bad :(. Hates seeing gragas yasuo botlane in game 2 I just knew they were gonna get 4manned repeatedly. Not 1 mage pick for perks botlane and giving wunder the counterpicks instead of caps to attempt to neutralize doinb in lane and keep him there so he can't influence the map.

I didn't hate game 1 draft but i thought caps shouldve gotten ryze and wunder get his signiture pyke, ryze would've had big turret threat if doinb tried to roam plus the ranged vs melee advantage in lane and ryze has a much better chance to escape ganks mid vs top.

But ultimately, outside of the ugly G2 drafts i think it came down to G2 wasn't ready for the confident aggressive playstyle of FPX (similar to how g2 was confident and proactive in their other series this worlds), G2 hadn't played a super proactive team like themselves yet and they weren't prepared.

EU has been in 2 worlds finals in the last 2 years.Got 3/3 teams to quarters this worlds.Won MSI. How are eu just not good competitors? Based on what? NA is lightyears away though, that's for sure.
