So, I've played this season quite a bit. I believe that from the time that I started climbing I was getting smart, like-minded teams. Now I struggle to even have them cooperate. I know its not just my teams fault but even if I point out that its time to group. Take objectives while the enemy jungler is top side. Rift herald, at a reasonable time. However I have had zero luck, and ADC's that don't group up. I had such a good start out this season, now its just falling apart.Thresh

Because variance.

That's honestly the infrastructure of ranked league. To a degree it is variance along with just where on the ladder you are. My brother for example has dabbled the same question you have rotting away in bronze queues for years just to squeak silver.

Every part of the ladder has a trend and you as the player just needs to find the working formula that can get you past the rough patch of the trend. Hard carry, good (and friendly) comms, etc. And lastly, losing will happen. It takes a level mind and confidence to keep going or call it a day if you're in a bind about going to the next game.
