A simple idea to get the professional competition more excited

I'm just a regular player from Taiwan, watched a lot of professional games such as LMS, LCS, etc. We always hear a lot of criticisms from those broadcasters, saying teams making bad calls, doing bad trades, such and such. And most of the time I think they really have some good points on those calls. So an idea just running through my head, why don't we just put those people who can make good calls directly into the games?

The whole thought is to put a sixth member in every team, the sixth member can access an observer mode of their team's side. So that the five professional players will only need to follow the coach's calls and focus on their jobs, meanwhile the coach can make better calls directly in the games.

Advantage:

more intense games

With a coach making better calls for all teams, we should be able to see more intense games

Get more people involved

Professional players in this area have a comparatively short carrier life. With the sixth member as a couch, the career life should be extended a bit Imagine HotshotGG leading the current CLG v.s. Reginald leading TSM

Disadvantage:

Not practical in normal games

After all, who would like to listen to other's call if they don't even play

Hope this idea could help. Regards,

Franz Yu

Nope. League isn't COD with a coach in the background. Teams usually make team decisions as a team. Or have a dedicated shot caller. And if your point is that person can't/won't be able to focus on their own personal game play, you are wrong. Players should know their role and everything else off the back of their hand. You want a coach to be in there to make calls? Players should already know calls.

Same thing goes if you mean this for ranked or ranked 5s.
