esports site should have more content

I love esports and can't wait for spring split to start, but lolesports.com still has no information about the upcoming season. I think riot should be more active on the site, updating the teams, schedule, and what not earlier. Also, there is nothing on the site from past seasons. It would be cool if you could look at games from older seasons, especially looking at player stats from past seasons or their career as a whole. I'm just spitballing here, but I think Riot could add a lot of cool features to the site. Thoughts?

"there is nothing on the site from past season, it would be cool if you could look at games from older seasons"

  • Under "more competitions" at the very bottom it says " 2015 regular season" - press it. It will take you to the section that I call " 2013-2015" league from LPL-LCK-NA-EU-LMS. Go under leagues and you can watch NA from 2013-2015.

"their career as a whole" I'v been trying to contact Riot about having all time player stats as I love knowing and having player stats for arguments and just for a leaderboard but Riot doesn't seem to care or want fans to know, so I did it myself a while back, I"v sent Riot this information in an e-mail numerous times, I'v sent them my 70+ NA/EU player's stats and asked for NO(reward or attention from it and they could use it for their own and say they did it etc etc no questions asked) but they didn't respond.
HOWEVER in one of the games back in 2015 Riot showed that Aphromoo was close to the 1K in Assists and they even showed a board that showed the top ten NA assists leaders and I even remember them doing it for Kills at some point back in 2015, but the board is nowhere to be found. Why hide it?
So like I said I did my own all time player stats. NO LPL/LMS/LCK and not every player but it's a start! ( It's only NA/EU and tie-breakers are included, as well as combining players that played in EU and NA so their total KDA is combined.

" I think riot should be more active on the site, updating the teams, schedule, and why not earlier". I'v read from other people the reason why RIot doesn't update/show the teams schedules is because it will give unfair advantages to the top teams because they have more time to prepare. Which makes 0 freaking sense. Good teams are going to take less time to prepare for the bad teams anyways but it's really just crippling the lower teams and Riot and others don't see that ? I suppose having teams like TSM-C9-CLG-FNC-G2 dominate the scene isn't a very good example. I mean only 4 teams in NA have ever been to a NA finals and most times it's the same 3 NA teams. Same can be said about FNC they went to the EU finals for 6-7 splits in a row and won 4-5 of them and they might continue on that path with the roster that they have now.
Long story short put out the LCS schedules what advantages does it serve to put EVERYTHING out a day of?
I agree more than just for this upcoming season, I'm also annoyed that Riot still has the ALL-STAR crap up and not anything for the upcoming LCS splits.
I have to go on other sites that's no even League or E-Sports related to find this shit. I go on ESPN or FOX sports to find information.
#sad when other sites do a better job than Riot themselves.

i've started going to espn's esports page for well written up to date esports content. also wish there could be way more stats and everything but just look at the audience for these things. we get so little engagement on esports articles, videos, and boards that one has to question whether it's even worthwhile or not. traditional sports reporting probably isn't engaging to the current generation of esports followers. hell, even videos aren't doing too well in terms of views and engagement.

use instantesports app my friend its fantastic pulls all the official info together and announcements together in one spot thats easily accessible.

on the topic - yes lolesports needs a dedicated team to keep it up to date and to do something like lolesports, it has it opportunity to be the premiere sport website and atm its failing this task.
