Why Trundle is not in the Pro Scene?

Hi all,

Just wanted to start a discussion on my favorite top laner in the game. After years of watching the Pro Teams and never seeing Trundle pick or ban blows my mind. Trundle to me is one of the best top laners, with him having a slow, displacement, team steroids, and a self steroids/buff (ult) why he is not pick or ban is beyond me. Just wanted to get some opinions on the topic.

Thank you all,

Tanks with massive CC > tanks without massive CC. Next question.

Like the last guy said, I see trundle being used against mostly picks like shyvanna, reignover's Olaf. ALthought i say this, i do agree Trundle should come back to LCS, but against picks like Gnar, Rumble, Mao, Ekko it is really hard to trundle. Another point to make is that, I don't know how well Trundle does being behind as most top laners get starved of CS early game. so questions to answer:

  1. Does Trundle do well from behind? probably not as much as other champions that make it up with CC or ranged high base dmg
  2. How Does Trundle do in a lane swap? with champions like shen coming on the rift, trundle probably wudnt do too badly, but then again Shen has a universal ulti and a taunt.

one last thing, Trundle does not have a team steroid.

Flandre in LpL carried a game so hard a while back they banned trundle from him most of the split.

he´s played in the LPL, and he´s really strong. Just the best tank-buster in the game...the only problem is that he has to rush hydra to gain waveclear, making his midgame a little lackluster if his team falls behind. But in the right matchup vs someone like Maokai that can´t really threaten him that´s usually easy to play around.
