Help! I need an interview for a school project

mEclipse··2 votes·823 views

Hi guys, I am a 9th grader and I need to write up a paper. My topic is "What is the Future of E-Sports" and in the paper I must include an interview with someone who is an expert in a related field. Any of you guys can hook me up with some Rioters or people who work at Valve/Blizzard or studies E Sports? Please post below their email or phone number so I can ask them. Thanks in advance.

You can always try contacting Riot support:

https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us

Their staff is usually pretty friendly and one may email you back with answers to your interview questions. Hope you haven't procrastinated too much, since they may take a day or so to get back to you =P

Riot support didn't help me. They are really bad and copy paste many of their responses. Blizzard has a much better support system tbh.

If you live in Florida you can always interview TSM at MSI lol

You may also talk with one of the pro players i think. That should count as "expert in the field"

That being a different angle, you could also include two interwievs if you are lucky to get them.

Makes for a better paper.

How do I get to the pro players though?

A lot of them do streams on Twitch and the like, there usually is some kind of contact option.

Or you may find something on their team page.

I think they are generally more approachable than the companies, just send a message and see what you get.

I literally made an essay on Esports earlier this year, I'd use this video http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/how-video-games-became-a-spectator-sport/

It's quite outdated but I found it to be the most helpful

I found research papers on it but I'll get the links back to you later (I replied back to you in my next comment)

(If you have problems with the CBS page then I'd use YouTube and search How Video Games Became a Spectator Sport)

Chris Klewe a Former Kicker from the Vikings got interviewed on e-Sports you could use that too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GO2URqoUBnU

There was another video made on a Utah Jazz player that played league https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfc9aJn4DbU

And here's a video on the Robert Morris University if you have not found it yet (First scholarship school for esports) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-44DdCMM-J4

If you need more on the impact of education https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWysttc6aqw

That is pretty much all you need on your paper sorry if any of this stuff you've already found

LOL before the majority of my paper was made I pretty much had all the info the CBS got xD

(Started paper in November so yeah, outdated)

I still got more :)

This one I had a hard time understanding but I used a few quotes http://files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/EJ954495.pdf

This is one is very helpful for getting a definition of Esports that is universal http://ww1.ucmss.com/books/LFS/CSREA2006/ICM4205.pdf

This one talks more about the future of Collegiate Esports http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/09/technology/esports-colleges-breeding-grounds-professional-gaming.html?_r=2

(The pictures have a link, its just a PDF)

To be quite honest everyting I just gave you is pretty much what I used for the paper I wrote execpt for the numbers for the 2014 LOL world championships which you can just find on Riot's website
