Whatever the result, I was happy to finally see the West rise. Also TL had a really good knockout group perfomance, you guys did really well.
A challenger in NA is a silver in EUW. Change my mind.
Our region has grown leaps and bounds
I'm proud, but also devastated. I think in the BROAD scheme, Liquid did a great service to the LCS and frankly gave back hope to the region. But in the micro, losing to G2 in the Finals hurts, a LOT, and almost certainly BECAUSE Liquid gave our hope back. I was thinking after the IG win, that this result would be the most painful possible. Had we lost to IG, it would've been "expected" and we'd have been numb to it. But beating them showed what we can do at our absolute best and what we are and should be capable of. I was thinking if SKT got thru and beat us, that loss would sting, but mentally I think NA has conceded defeat to Korea. I hope we win MSI and/or World over them one day, but for now I think most have thought Korea is just better at League than us. But Europe? No matter what the stats and results say, I don't think we want to accept that Europe really is BETTER than NA. MAybe they've beaten us, but we can and will beat them.
Hopefully this lights a fire for Worlds. I'd love to see NA stomp into World looking to prove NA > EU because while we can make a mound of excuses for why Asian teams have beaten us in the past, damned if we're gonna let the Euros show us up. Congrats to G2, but this one hurts, a LOT.
Vedius said it before the series started: both regions can be proud of what they did. I'm glad to see posts like this because several days ago it was utter turmoil.
Right now it's memeing but we can all agree on that.

When everyone's expectations were "dumpster fire with a hint of stinky hobo" it's not really hard to excel past that.
I'm glad to see NA made it far enough that people will be less likely to see us as a joke, and I look forward to when the REAL best international NA team makes it to an event again. Go C9 - Liquid cleared the path for you, get us that Sneaky cosplay world champion skin!
I was hoping for NA, but I think the bigger disappointment was that the games weren't closer and TL got swept.
To me, it seemed like TL put everything into beating IG and just didn't have enough left for G2.
Eh, There are more MSI'S to come i'm sure NA will maybe take the throne next time.

Listening to Doublelift today after smashing TSM, (Do you still think you could have done better TSM fans?) I think they did learn quite a bit from MSI. So yes, I'm hopeful and pleased. We'll have a genuine #1 seed this time rather than our #1 having a #2 so our #1 is guaranteed not to have EU, Korea or China #1 in their group. We can compete if we play well. However, on the down side, if we don't play well, we can still lose.
TL could have won but doublelift saw G2 trade 3 turrets and 1 inib for 1 turret but still win bo5 and then decided to do the same but 3 times over. i dont trust in NA teams exept C9, they are the only one that never dissapoint me
i dare to say if TL didnt beat IG, g2 would have lost the finals. you never know if IG had a bad day, were sick who knows what.
Implying I ever had faith in NA winning anything.
