With the meta shifting to all sorts of tanky champs why hasn't Taric seen play yet with his incredibly tanky stats and ability to lock down champions and help shred through the armor they have I get that he's not perfect but as a support or top laner he fits in quite well with the current meta
Taric just does not offer as much as a Morg, Naut, Lulu, Annie, or Janna in the ways of support. His heal is lackluster, and his ult is less than fully impactful. Point and click stun is the only redeeming ability (including Shatter passive if the enemy is heavy AD),
Top Lane Taric offers even less than support. I guess if the team was stacking AD (Zed, Sion, Cait/Lucian, Thresh and some AD Jungle) he may be an ok...pick...maybe. But top lane Taric would be bullied out of lane by either 2v1 or early tops that could make his life a living hell.
