Team Fight Breakdown with Jatt: IMT vs. TSM
This week on Team Fight Breakdown we're looking at TSM's upset win against Immortals from the 2016 NA LCS Spring Split Semifinals.
One of the main reasons TSM beat Immortals was due to their superior execution in team fights throughout the Best of 5 series. One such team fight was 33 minutes into Game 3, when TSM aced Immortals.
To set up the fight, Huni's Graves was split pushing and attempting to take an inner turret. When Doublelift’s Kalista walked over the ward at Blue Buff, Huni wanted to back off - but it was already too late. Haunzter's Maokai positioned aggressively and was in range to Twisted Advance Huni as Doublelift approached. Since Immortals weren’t positioned on the map to counter TSM’s collapse with a Turret or Baron, they were forced with a difficult choice: Either commit substantial resources to try and save Huni, or let him die and play the map 4v5 while he waited to respawn.
