Millenium at All-Star 2014

While last-place Millenium are down, they’re far from out, especially considering they’re only five games back from the opposite end of the leaderboard. Other facts cast light even more in their favor, such as their gold medal at IEM Sao Paulo.

Top: Kev1n

Kev1n’s track through the League pro scene began back in 2011. He’s been on many teams: aAa, SK, NiP, ALTERNATE, and now Millenium. But despite the many teams, he’s always proven himself to be a valuable team member—maybe that’s why he’s still considered one of the best players in the region. Kev1n has a wide variety of experiences in other lanes as well, from mid lane to AD to top lane. If sent to All-Stars, that deep knowledge of the many positions within the game will no doubt make the team that much better.

Jungle: Araneae

Araneae is one of more vocal players in the LCS, unafraid to give his opinion about any number of topics. However, he’s also not ashamed of calling out his own faults. This kind of honesty will serve his team well if he gets sent to All-Stars, and will quickly set the tone for a team that will need to gel together quickly. He has a lot of leadership qualities that would translate well into the event. It also helps that his play has improved immensely throughout the season. His presence during Week 8 was undeniable, and was a big reason for Millenium’s wins against ROCCAT and the Supa Hot Crew. When it comes to junglers, it’d be hard to pass up Araneae.

Mid: Kerp

When it comes to Kerp, there’s not much to disagree with - he’s one of the strongest midlaners in the LCS. Just last week, despite Millenium going 2-2, Kerp threw down an impressive 16/4/18 stat line over the four games. That’s an 8.5 KDA. Kerp has impressive talent that comes with a solid demeanor that is hard to find among the LCS pros. Oh, and did I mention the trackball? Yeah, he plays with a track ball. Just imagine the headline when he beats Faker; that alone is All-Star worthy, but add in all the rest, and you’ve clearly got a solid pick for the All-Stars.

AD Carry: Creaton

[[{"fid":"7484","view_mode":"full","fields":{"format":"full","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":""},"type":"media","attributes":{"height":"640","width":"960","class":"media-element file-full"}}]]

Creaton is talented, in fact, according to Leaguepedia, he’s the highest ranked Polish player ever. The key to Creaton is consistency, and Millenium have proved that with many stable early games so far this year. Creaton especially shone during IEM Sao Paulo, where he helped lead his team to utter victory. Not much can stand in Creaton’s way when he’s on point, and an All-Stars nod would definitely help bring out the skills from one of Europe’s top marksmen.

Support: Jree

[[{"fid":"7485","view_mode":"full","fields":{"format":"full","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":""},"type":"media","attributes":{"height":"640","width":"960","class":"media-element file-full"}}]]

There’s a lot of history behind Jree, and for good reason. He’s a stable support player with a ton of experience. Maybe that’s why he was named MLG’s Breakout Player when subbing for CLG.EU back in 2012. Or maybe it’s just his relentless attitude and friendly demeanor. Jree seems to make it a point to befriend his lane partner—Creaton and him are “wingmen”—so it’s no far stretch to see that if sent to All-Stars, he’ll do his best to fit in well with the team and bring out the best play he can.
