2017 NA LCS Summer Finals Field Guide

TL;DR

  • 2017 NA Summer Finals weekend takes place on September 2-3 at the TD Garden in Boston, MA.
  • CLG, TSM, IMT, and DIG will be facing off Finals weekend. The 3rd place match is on Saturday and 1st place on Sunday.
  • The event will begin at 3:00 PM ET or immediately following the EU LCS broadcast. Doors open at 1:00 PM ET both days.
  • Pre-game activities happening inside the venue.

The end of the summer is upon us! What better way to cap off the Summer Split than watch the greatest teams in North America battle it out during the NA LCS Summer Finals weekend. Read on for some tips for attending the 2017 NA LCS Summer Finals weekend in Boston.

Map your path to Finals.

TD Garden is located at 100 Legends Way, Boston, MA 02114.

Head on over to TD Garden’s “Getting Here” guide for driving directions, pedestrian access map, public transportation information, and nearby parking garages.

Don’t bring prohibited items or bags.

Before game day, don’t forget to check the complete list of prohibited items including bags, backpacks, selfie sticks, laptops, video cameras, cameras with detachable lenses, outside food and drinks, etc. All ticket holders and their possessions including merch purchases are subject to search before entering the venue.

There is a strict No Bag Policy at TD Garden (unless it’s a merch store bag), so leave those backpacks back in base!

Remember that the event begins no earlier than 3:00 PM ET.

Games will begin after EU LCS Summer Finals so if they go to Game 5, we’ll begin later. EU LCS broadcast will be shown in the venue.

Arrive early. Doors @ 1:00 PM ET.

Arrive at least 1 hour before the games to get through security and hit all the stops on your pre-show checklist. TD Garden has a no re-entry policy, so if you exit the venue, you cannot re-enter.

Extremely limited free vouchers to get a photo with the pros are available on a first come, first serve basis.

For the most hardcore fans, we will be giving out an extremely limited selection of vouchers to meet the pros. The voucher will let you meet and take a quick photo with the pros before the games. Only non-competing teams will be available to take pictures. For example, if IMT is competing on Sunday, IMT will be taking photos Saturday.

Ticketholders will receive an email at the email address that they used to purchase tickets with more information about the meet the pros vouchers including times, location, rules, etc. on Wednesday, August 30.

If you didn’t get a chance to meet the teams, fear not, there’s still plenty to do including watching the EU LCS broadcast, stocking up on merch, concessions, getting some sweet swag, photo ops, and more.

We'll have a League of Legends Merch Store located at the ProShop on the second floor of TD Garden. Ticketholders and non-ticketholders can shop at the ProShop at the following times:

  • Friday, Sept 1 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a limited selection 
  • Saturday, Sept 2 and Sunday, Sept 3 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM 

On Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM, a valid ticket for the day will be required to access this merch store.  For more information on how to locate the ProShop, click here.

We'll also have additional merch stores inside the venue that will only be accessible to ticketholders once doors open at 1:00 PM PT.

Since our on-air team has a tight schedule and need to get ready before the games, we can’t guarantee their availability. Stay tuned to your favorite on-air talent’s social media accounts and they’ll post if they can come out and say hi.

Please do not line-up near the casting booth or analyst desk as these lines will be ganked by event staff and security.

Feeding IRL is possible.

TSM, Immortals, Team Dignitas, and Counter Logic Gaming will compete at Finals weekend. They will be playing for Championship Points and a spot at Worlds 2017.

The show starts at 3:00 PM ET or at the conclusion of the EU LCS Summer Finals each day, so be sure to be in your seats by then to not miss the start of show.

Signs and banners are allowed as long as they do not exceed 22x28 (standard poster board) and do not obstruct other attendees.

Guests whose signs or banners frequently obstruct others will be asked to put them away by event staff. All signs are subject to review by event staff and any signs that are deemed offensive will be confiscated and not returned.

Cosplay is welcome.

While we encourage cosplay at our esports events, all cosplayers are subject to search and inspection.

NA LCS Summer Finals Cosplay Rules:

  • All final decisions on costumes entering the facility shall be at the sole discretion of the Boston Police Department, Riot, event security, and/or TD Garden staff.
  • Your costume must be not be wider than 4 feet across, longer than 6 feet, or taller than 8 feet. Additionally, you must be able to easily maneuver your costume over stairs or ramps unassisted. You must be able to fit through the walkthrough metal detectors, which are 2’4” wide and 6’9” tall.  You must comply if asked to remove any mask, or other items if deemed necessary, by security.
  • You must also be able to sit in your seat while wearing your costume without obstructing the view of those around you. There is no re-entry policy so if you leave to take off your costume, you will not be able to return to the venue.
  • You must have unobstructed vision at all times (i.e., must not need to remove a piece of your costume in order to see).
  • Armor cannot pose a threat to others by way of sharpened metal edges, spikes, or bladed surfaces. Metal costumes are not allowed as they will set off the walk through metal detectors.
  • All swords or bladed weapons must be blunt-edged and cannot have a sharpened edge (no metallic or predominantly wooden weapons). No weapon may be sharp or pointy enough to cut or pierce someone with moderate pressure, or heavy enough to create a threatening club. Note: Worbla will be permitted, pending that it follows the above weapon restrictions.
  • You may not bring firearms of any kind including air guns or cap guns, as well as any replica weapon (i.e., facsimiles or realistic versions of real-world weapons). Any firearms must clearly be of prop nature and should be made of primarily foam and/or light plastics. (prop firearms may not be made of wood or hard, metal materials) Cosplay players may be asked to prove that the prop is not dischargeable.
  • Any bow-type weapons must be unstrung or strung with a low-tensile thread. All prop arrows must have non-metal, blunted tips.
  • You may not include bring in any liquids, gels, air horns or other substances which could cause a mess or make loud noises. (This will be at the discretion of Boston Police Department, Riot, Event Security, and/or TD Garden staff).
  • You may not use smoke effects, fire, explosives, or any other environmental hazard in any capacity.
  • You may display your prop weapons only as costume pieces. Do not swing or brandish your prop in any way that could be considered unsafe or threatening. Failure to comply may result in immediate confiscation of the item with no return.
  • You may pose with a prop in a brandishing manner, so long as no reasonable person would interpret for anything other than dramatic effect. Local police, event staff, or management may stop you at their sole discretion.
  • Bags, backpacks, luggage and like articles are prohibited from the Arena. There will be no bag check, prop check, or storage available on site.

As a final note, everyone attending the NA LCS Summer Finals weekend will need to have a ticket in order to enter the event.

In order to provide a safe environment, you and your belongings may be searched upon entry into the venue. By tendering the ticket and entering the venue, you consent to such searches. If you elect not to consent to the searches, you will be denied entry into the venue. Also, the premises are monitored by video camera, please be aware that your movements may be recorded by the venue.
