The EU LCS Promotion tournament is here!
The scrappiest battle in League is about to take place in the EU Promotion tournament!
With the 2016 EU Challenger Series and EU LCS Spring Splits coming to a close, it's time for the spotlight to shift to next season's rising stars. The best teams in Challenger have one final boss to face before securing a spot in the LCS, while existing LCS teams need to prove they belong with the best. Five teams in total will be thrown into the ring -- the three lowest ranked EU LCS teams and the two highest ranked teams from EU Challenger -- but only three will earn their spot in the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split.
Schedule
The EU Promotion tournament consists of four separate Best of 5 matches. Here's the schedule:
| ROUND | DATE | GAME TIME (CET) | MATCHUPS | WINNER |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | March 24 | 17:00 | Match A (Giants Gaming vs. Copenhagen Wolves) | Giants Gaming |
| Day 2 | March 26 | 14:00 | Match B (Splyce vs. Giants Gaming) | Splyce |
| Day 2 | March 26 | 19:00* | Match C (ROCCAT vs. Huma) | ROCCAT |
| Day 3 | March 27 | 17:00 (CEST) | Match D (Giants Gaming vs. Huma) | Giants Gaming |
The winners of Match B, Match C, and Match D will qualify for the 2016 EU LCS Summer Split.
