Fantasy Cheat Sheet: Summer 2016 Week 3
Be wary of math, friends. We're only 2 weeks into the Split, so we still don't have the full picture of exactly how strong each of these LCS teams and players are. Many stats are going to be misleading, skewed by unusually easy or hard early schedules. So as you manage your Fantasy LCS rosters for this week, be patient and listen to your gut. Don't overreact to what could just end up being a slow start for your star player.

Week 3 Studs
These dominant players have everything they need to crush the competition this week. We expect them to be among the best in their role for fantasy.
- TOP - Odoamne (vs. G2, VIT): One of the most steady points-producers so far (18 points/game average). Should be able to exploit G2's surprise starter in the top lane and always fights hard against Cabochard.
- JUN - Meteos (vs. TSM, APX): I'd be nervous starting him against TSM, but he scored his highest points of the season in a losing series against IMT. He looks unstoppable right now and should be apart of all the action in these bloodbath matches.
- MID - Febiven (vs. S04, SPY): Has been quietly putting up a strong Split, but is due for a breakout game. Lots of potential against these teams.
- ADC - Steelback (vs. OG, S04): Took down G2 and VIT last week to be the #1 fantasy scorer. These matchups shouldn't be any more difficult. OG only killed MrRallez once on Friday.
- SUP - Biofrost (vs. C9, NRG): The only support in the top 20 players (he's #9, next support is #22). Has a good mix of matchups this week, but will need to prove he can repeat his performance when Bard is banned.

Week 3 Underdogs
You may have doubted these players, but we think they'll outperform expectations this week and be worth a starting spot -- despite being owned in less than half of Fantasy LCS leagues.
- TOP - Parang (vs. OG, S04): Soaz is the best player on OG right now, so there's a little risk here. But he's still the #1 fantasy top laner, and I like his chances.
- JUN - Airwaks (vs. OG, S04): The other underdog jungler options (Procxin, Shrimp) have really tough matchups. ROC is the sweet spot for pickups this week.
- MID - Fenix (vs. P1, NRG): Been taking flak for his recent play, but he's the top scorer on TL and faces the easiest schedule this week. Should perform big again.
- ADC - S0nstar (vs. SPY, OG): Only owned in 4% of leagues, but showed real promise last week (#5 ADC, 91 points) and GIA are getting better with every game. Bonus: he gets to face out-of-place Xpeke.
- SUP - Matt (vs. P1, NRG): Has underwhelmed so far this year against the top teams, but this is a much easier lineup. Should get back on track.

Week 3 Bench Warmers
Even the best players run into bad matchups that'll spoil their Fantasy scores from time to time. You shouldn't risk starting these high-scoring picks, but you can't afford to drop them either -- stash them safely on your bench for this week.
- NV's Procxin: We still don't know Team Envy's real strength, and IMT/CLG could be a deceptively brutal gauntlet. Procxin will face the best they have to offer in the jungle -- Xmithie and Reignover are playing great right now. I want to see NV trounce a top team and Procxin dominate a premier jungler before I'm going to feel safe starting him against stud-stacked teams like these.
- G2's Expect: If you had Kikis, you absolutely need to grab his replacement. Expect has every potential to be a top scorer in his position, but I want to see more games from him before I bench my other top laner for him. Odoamne won't go easy on him in his first match (H2K gives the second-fewest points to opposing top laners -- 8.7 points/game), and it's unclear how much he'll be able to take advantage of UOL's weaknesses.

Week 3 Investment Pickups
If you're looking for long-term gains, think about stashing one of these potential future-studs on your bench. They're owned in less than 25% of leagues right now, but we think they're on their way to fantasy glory.
- SPY's Kobbe: They may not have the wins to prove it, but SPY has been putting up some good fights against tough opponents these past two weeks. Kobbe has been playing very well and reaping the benefit of their close games. Even with a 1-2-1 record, Kobbe is the #6 fantasy player in EU. Easily worth a bench spot until we see what SPY's upper limit is this Split.
- GIA's Night: Is it finally Giant's time to shine? The rookie squad looks eager to step into the power vacuum, and have improved every week. They absolutely wrecked UOL, but that's not a unique accomplishment this Split. Night makes bold plays that sometimes get him in trouble (he has the most kills and most deaths on GIA), but I really like his proactive style for fantasy points if they start to win more games down the road.
Good Luck!
Best of luck in the tie-breaker third week of Fantasy LCS! As always, be sure to catch the games live with our NA LCS Schedule and EU LCS Schedule. Josh Augustine's favorite map is Howling Abyss, he's never enjoyed a Darius, and he will always go for the kill, even when he knows he shouldn't. He currently works as a game designer at Daybreak Games. He’d love to talk with you on Twitter.
