Worlds without Gambit Gaming/M5 is wierd

I remember back then they were my favourite team. I even liked them more than NA teams. I mean a full Russian team was cool.

Anyone else miss these guys ?

Them crazy Ruskies, with their wacky strategies, taking everyone by surprise every game. I miss those guys, particularly the 2012 crew.

Yea, a darn shame they broke apart. I started playing LoL back when M5 won their first IEM, guess they really got me to keep playing LoL in the first place...showing how utterly fun and fast the game can be on the highest lvl - opposite to the old CLG.EU style. Unfortunately they lost their drive to just go in and make plays all the time sometime during S3 and in S4 they just suffered a lot of unfairness from Riots-side (SK-reamtch, Visas...) till they finally went different ways.

Actually, they didn't broke apart. Only Alex Ich is not with them anymore. Edward came back.

ah come on...nowadays they replaced the best European toplaner with Kubon, whom´s playstyle is pretty stall and just doesn´t fit in at all. Edward is just a shadow of his former self...and while NiQ surely does perform better than i expected it´s really not even close to Alex complete control over the game back in the days when M5 played on their best.

I just hope Darien and Genja will try and form a new team with Alex (or just join NIP, they could use a proper toplaner and carry anyways), they still would have the potential to be the #1team in europe if they find back to their old strenghts and get a little more consistent (and maybe don´t spend most of their time on traveling, which surely is another reason they slowly lost their drive in S3 compared to S2).

M5/Gambit were the most exciting and innovate team ever in my opinion. They also won tournaments which was the icing on the cake. Diamondprox changed the meta himself several times.
