Meet the 2015 World Championship teams!

The 2015 World Championship contenders are officially locked in, with the LCK, LPL, LMS, LCS, and International Wildcard leagues all having put forth their champions. 

And unless you've somehow acquired Ekko's time-manipulation powers, odds are you haven't kept up with each and every one of the 16 competing teams over the past year. But no worries, we've got you covered.

Click on the team banners below to get a quick rundown of who's playing, how they play, and what to watch for on the Rift. And once you've familiarized yourself with the lot, be sure to tune in on September 12 for the live broadcast of the Group Draw Show, where we'll determine the initial matches of the 2015 Worlds tournament.

I'm just glad my boys at Cloud9 made the cut. That gauntlet had me sweating lol. Also, I would have loved to see Unicorns of Love make the cut into Worlds, but respect to Origen for making it.

Origen shouldn't even have been in that gauntlet honestly. Origen is much better then H2K and it was proved in playoffs. I think if H2K was in gauntlet then we would have been seeing UOL in worlds. I just don't think H2K deserve worlds because of their past showings. Also UOL is so entertaining to watch it would of been great seeing them vs an international team lol. Im not a UOL fan but I have to admit they are entertaining.

Lol, not even. H2k would have destroyed UOL like they did for the 3rd Place match in the playoffs, 3-0. Don't remember that little bit, do you?

If H2K would have been in the gauntlet....it still would of came down to who would of won between Roccat and H2K....Unicorns of Love were probably the weakest team in the gauntlet

Not even, what about giants? What about the fact UOL beat Roccat in the bo5? Honestly I think Roccat just generally plays better against OG, they beat them 2-0 during the regular split but got beat 2-0 to elements, it doesn't mean they were second best in the gauntlet.

U know C9 is gonna get crushed in B-Block, right? The real question is who wins group C and gives e that sweet sweet skin. Honesly, group C probalby the easist bracket, SKT #1, EDG #2

Cloud9 and Fnatic have two places in my heart. Mainly because of Febiven and Sneaky, but also the way they communicate with each other.

How they communicate with eachother? Do you mean you understand what their saying because they speak English...all teams communicate with eachother. Asian teams are some of the most communicative teams if not communicate better than EU and NA

US Dept of State officially recognizes Taiwan as being a part of China, but the people of Taiwan do not. The kids there nowadays don't really care, but the current adult generation does care. You can learn quite a lot from going to their equivalent of the white house. Fun Fact: The paper cups for their drinking fountain are simply single pieces of paper curled to become a cylindrical cone.

China is "The People's Republic of China" Taiwan is "The Republic of China"

Taiwan's current government is essentially the descendants of the nationalists who had to flee mainland China when the communists took over.

As a big TL fan i was so sad when they were beaten out of the regional qualifier, i mean, there are only 3 spots at worlds from na but i think that the four deserving teams are , TSM, CLG TL and TIP. even though c9 well earned their spot, i just hope that they would do better than TL because seeing them forever 4th breaks my heart

Before the "Gauntlet" started I honestly didn't think anyone was going to beat TL and I didn't think either C9 or GV would even beat TIP. C9 showed up to play. I agree with your team picks for NA teams in worlds as well (except maybe TSM this year they're just not themselves it seems). I would replace TSM with GV, as an unbiased pick even though they're my favorite, just because their weird picks could stir up some trouble for other teams and it would be fun to see how teams from other regions adapt to them (if they even need to considering different regions have different meta games).

why aren't there any Vietnamese team in World?! also, I wouldn't be surprise if Origen beat C9, they are more decisive, organized-team fighting, and counter gains (if enemy team get turret, they get turret and drag) in Rifts.

Na, if C9 and OG matched up with each other, I'm pretty sure C9 would win. Out of raw skill, Incarnation and Sneaky beat their lane opponents (sorry xPeke), and with Hai's shotcalling, it would make them hard to beat. Plus, putting the two western 3rd place teams in the same bracket would make it unbalanced, so I don't expect them to be in the same bracket.

Ummmm.... incarnation is NOT better than Xpeke, sorry. A lot of C9's success came from the fact that Hai was such a good shotcaller and created a lot of engages (Hai basically carried). Sneaky and Niels are debatable; Niels was really good for this first time in the LCS, while Sneaky has always been solid. Honestly, in a best of 1, I see Origen coming out on top, simply because Hai won't be able to help all the lanes at once and because Origen has great teamfighting potential.

All the players left pretty much right after they won worlds and now play for various other teams (i.e. Edward Gaming, LGD etc.)

Normally a Gravity fan (Bunny Fu Fuu is love) but if anyone from NA is going to make a splash in worlds this year, in my opinion, it's going to be CLG. Hopefully they have a strong showing and I'll be rooting for them.

Cloud 9 shouldnt be there! having to reverse sweep every fucking round?! that wont happen in Worlds, there are teams that have a hell of a lot better shot in worlds

If the Gravity, Team Impulse, or Team Liquid got the job done, any of those three would've gone to Worlds. C9 earned it. They didn't break or collapse. The other teams did. And if the aforementioned teams collapsed during the playoffs and regional qualifiers, they sure as hell stood a hefty chance of doing it again in Worlds.

You may be butthurt about them being there, but they "paid the iron price" to get there. Each team going to Worlds deserves their spot.

SKT T1 should have never made the cut, honestly. The team sucks now, I hope you can see that in how they didn't make worlds in 2014. since impact and piglet are gone, fanbois are crying about how the old S3 team should be together. faker is literally the fakest player in the LCK and he should stop deceiving his fanbois. all in all, skt sucks and should just be kicked out of competitive league.

If you look at the individual play from each member of the SKT line up they are all mechanically good. Your just butt hurt because one of your LCK teams you like didn't make it.
