“I think a lot of our issue [last week], was Hai’s dying early making his shot calling nonexistent,” says Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi of Cloud9’s NA LCS Week 1 struggles. Obviously unhappy with their performance, Cloud9 wasn’t going to let that slide. “We recognized [the problem], and we had to make sure that if Hai wasn’t shot calling, then someone else needed to pick up the pace. Meteos and I pitch in and actually make the calls. It was pretty hard, because we’re used to just listening to Hai.” Without listening to Hai’s decisive calls, Cloud9 would have continued to struggle. “The [other LCS] teams are too good for us to do that right now,” says Sneaky. Once they figured the communication problems out, they looked like their old selves, taking down the previously undefeated Team Liquid in their first game of Week 2. The work’s not over yet, though. “We need to get Hai to a place where he can shot call, otherwise we’re like headless chickens,” he laughs. Will Cloud9 rise once again?
