Thoughts on SKT and EDG series

The Over Seer of Heaven, Varun of Infinity Blade, once said, "Death is but an inconvenience to a god." A loss, a mistake will not outweigh the accomplishments and dragons a god has conquered. It will only expose small weaknesses and in the end a more polished figure will be developed. May 10th, at the 2015 Mid-Season Invitational, SK Telecom T1 was bested by Edward Gaming in a best of five series, which came down to the 5th game. Edward gaming left open the prophet of the Faker religion knowing Faker would not hesitate to play this champion. As soon as Faker locked in LeBlanc EDG got what they wanted. A team comp that would be difficult to one shot and to lock down Fakers Leblanc. Faker still played excellent but top lane was in Koro's favor and the tournament MVP, Clearlove, dominated the Jungle. Overall, EDG's team composition was too much for the Leblanc and nearly impossible to reached the carries. This is what SKT needed. Sounds odd right? No not quite! The Season 3 World Champions and LCK Spring Split Champs now know what is expected on the international stage and what they need to work on. Maybe next time, Faker will call upon another prophet in games five to fulfill his prophecy. I am looking forward to see the response SK Telecom T1 is going to have as they now have something to prove. SKT will remember this loss, and in my opinion will elevate their play for the remainder of Season 5. I would not look forward to matching up against SKT in the coming games of LCK and Worlds. Maybe mid-laners should take note of Energy's Rune page against Faker, they might need it.

Maybe it'll teach SKT to stop trash talking before matches. "We'll beat FNC 3-0". Hooker, you couldn't even beat FNC 3-1, or EDG at all. You're drunk, KR. Go home.

It's not like SKT got crushed. Overall, they beat EDG 3x and lost 3x. VERY close. And for the most part, I dont think mid was the problem. I thought bot line was VERY inconsistent, especially wolf.

They should not have picked Urgot period. If that had been EZ SKT would have won 100%.

Pretty sure Bang choked anyways.

Well, the LPL is just way stronger than any other league currently (they have at least 4 teams that could have won MSI) - so it´s very likely they will keep improving the most till worlds. If GET doesn´t find their strength again then SKT wonßt have enough pressure in Korea to be forced to step up their play.

apart from the fact that the post is hella biased. skt sad to admit cuz im not a fanboy played alot cleaner than EDG. that should make them win right? wrong! as shown in all their games at msi... they struggle against brawling teams... they hadf some issues vs fnatic and now vs EDG. Im not denying that SKT will get stronger but that doesnt mean EDG isnt really strong and wouldnt get stronger. Skt needs to scrim more vs brawling teams so that they will be better prepared for next event but dont be suprised if you see EDG get better as well

SKT's bot lane wasnt inconsistent. wolf argueably was EDG blocked or stole wolfs alistar pick that he was known for massive roaming and teamfighting on.... not to say that wolf can only play one champ but when he had alistar he played outstandingly and he played a bit worse on other supports but he is a good player
