1vs1 tournament advices

Recently I’ve been thinking about playing a 1vs1 tournament in my neighborhood. I don’t have much experience in 1v1ns and I kinda wanted to ask you guys to help me out! Is there anything particular I should know about good runes, champs, strategies etc...Its blind pick summoners rift, only mid, with 2 recalls included. If you have any advices please share it with me.
