reviewing by watching skt vs edg....

Didn't say he was reviewing his own matches. Many teams try to emulate the metas of other regions, especially those that work well. It's also possible the team C9 was playing the next day likes to run a similar composition to what SKT or EDG ran that match and they wanted to watch how it played out.

Its just a single photo, but they're probably reviewing the pick and ban phase of SKT or EDG, who are 2 of the best teams, if not the top 2 teams in the world. The way to improve is to watch teams that you know are honestly way better than you and see what kind of strats/rotations/warding patterns they use and try to incorporate it into your playstyle, or learn WHY they're strats work in order to improve how you execute your own strats. All NA teams could learn by studying the top teams in the world. The best coaches/casters like Monte have watched hundreds if not thousands of vods to understand the game and have the experience to understand what the most "optimal" play is, and how the game is best played in the current meta.

All right, so I'm gonna be honest, I'm a huge C9 fan and I want them to go to Worlds more than ever this year. I've been doing some calculations based on the amount of championship points they accrued last split, compiling the data from the end of this split, and making some predictions based on trends. Thus far, I haven't come up with a scenario in which C9 doesn't at least make it to Regional qualifiers. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I didn't come up with every scenario, just the most probable ones and worst case scenarios.

It's not that hard to show that C9 are guaranteed a spot in the Qualifier. The trick is that Liquid are guaranteed 40 points this split because of the first-round bye.

Huge fan too!
