How do Pros, become... Pros?

By no means do I think myself anywhere near as good or imagine myself going pro, though obviously it is every League of Legends players fantasy, I have other career goals I want to peruse. Now that I clarified all that I was just always curious as to how these teams and people become "Pro." Forgive me if I am wrong, but I assume any group of friends who think themselves good enough can join into a LCS qualifying tournament or do you need a certain rank before you can join any type of qualifying tournament (this would be a great fist step of clarification for me) and also do any players ever become Pros from just doing a lot of solo que and getting challenger tier? Thanks to anyone who can provide any kind of helpful information c:

There are a couple of ways.

The first is to be ranked in Challenger (or in some cases, Master) and get scouted by a pro team. It's also possible that a player of this caliber could apply for tryouts in a pro team if that team needs a slot filled.

The next is to be in a top team in ranked 5s and win one of the qualifying tournaments to get into the Challenger Series, and then win a spot in the LCS.

The last is the same as the first; get scouted by a team in the Challenger Series, then win a spot in the LCS.

If a player has the drive and makes it into Challenger, he or she will probably get one of these opportunities if it is pursued. Challenger is a pretty exclusive club. However, getting Challenger doesn't automatically qualify you for anything; you have to get picked up by a team. If you were to get into Challenger, a good next step for an aspiring professional gamer would be to email the managers of Challenger teams and make friends with other players in Challenger.

If you win consistently enough, you'll get your shot.

After reaching challenger they recieve offer of joining to a semi-pro team, if this team qualifies to be pro later, they are becoming pro players

Any player can become a pro player if they work hard enough too. Most pro players all say that the best way to become a pro player is to just play the game all the time and always blame yourself for your losses. Dont get angry or toxic when you lose. Look at every loss as it being your fault and recognize what you could have done better.

So really they just played the game until they reached Challenger or Masters and then got recruited. I know Meteos is actually a bit of rare case as he never played ranked once until after he was recruited to C9. He just played normals with his friends all of the time. So the way to become pro is sort of varied.

Not to derail, but... I read this as "How do Poros become Poros?"
