Why were the 2nd seeds placed in a different order?

Because NA needs to get the easiest group to have a chance.
C9 was in SKTs group. SKT got left side, so C9 HAS to be on right side. They were drawn first so they got top right.
Fnatic was in LZ group. So they HAD to go to left side vs RNG (or SKT).
It is really more a benefit to the second place team I think. But if 1-2 were close, you wouldn't want them to fight it out early and say they were screwing you over? idk.
The Rules at the start of the draw state that teams of the same group can't be drawn on the same side of the bracket. Hence the immediate jump for C9 to face WE as an example.
Ok makes sense now, to make sure the same teams dont meet till finals again
