Everyone freaks out when a team picks a non meta champs during worlds
The casters say things like "unbelievable!" an "amazing!" when they pick Akali and Varus instead of one of the same 15 champs that are played every game. Its kinda pathetic.

Totaly agree, They should be more open to any choices pro players have every champ open to them and can play privetly on a smerf account. so no one knows who they can or cant play outside the team so casters saying amazing or unbeliaveable is kinda sad to me.
Then quit watching? I can't imagine anyone calling them pathetic would enjoy it; unless they're complaining for the sake of it.
The meta is constantly changing, dont forget that the priority pick and ban is way different from last year ( Shyvana, Riven, LB, Nidalee, Elise, Jax, Renekton, Caitlyn, Vayne, Ez, Leona, Zyra, Sona... etc ).
The few champ that still maintain their popularity both this and last year are Zed, Ahri, Thresh, Rumble, Leesin. As you can see the game is never the same each time meta is changed.
it is pretty sad to see casters going crazy when a champion from their own game is picked outside the regular. You balance this game for christ's sake this shouldn't be the case where every team is using the same damn strat.
