The Breakdown with Zirene: How spacing wins teamfights

This week on The Breakdown we’re taking a look at how spacing wins teamfights, using the final clash between Immortals and Cloud9 in Week 3 of the NA LCS Summer Split.

In a teamfight you have to protect your carries, but sometimes standing in front of them doesn’t do the trick. Manipulating space and forcing your opponents to make tough moment to moment decisions is one of the most advanced ways to to get the upper hand and win a teamfight.

Let’s get into it.

Moment-to-moment decisions that must be made in less than a half second. I don't know about other people, but it takes me about 5 seconds to even begin to parse what is going on in a slow-motion replay of a league fight, let alone one i'm participating in in real time.

My point being, this video is ascribing decision making to reflex action, and league would be an amazingly interesting game if played at 1/10 speed (although certain things would obviously need to change).

What a beautiful and easy-to-understand analysis of people who are way way way better than I will ever be at this game. I have troubles with my damn camera in team fights. Let alone targeting the right person or popping an ability at the right time. Thank you for these videos. The time and effort to make this is really an honor to your pros and shows how fantastic they truly are.
