What happened to LPL ?
LPL China was so good, with teams like OMG and Royal. How can they get not even one team into semi-final ? What happened to LPL ?

not expert analysis at all, but after watching a few LGD and EDG games, the biggest problem to me felt like the LPL teams are maladjusted to the world's patch.
they haven't adjusted to the "meta" if you will, top lane specifically.
Paying Koreans happened.
They didn't adapt to the patch contrary to many other teams. Also,they didn't fix a lot of their problems and they still have communication issues. Before someone even say "but they're chinese and work with Koreans" Do you even think players like Huni didn't have trouble at first ?He obviously had,but seems like the management was a lot better(coaching and management seems to be critized in china since a while now)
They have the talent,they just couldn't use it and obviously ,that didn't work for Worlds.
They thought they can buy raw talent by outsourcing. You can tell their lanes are strong but their rotation are worse than even Na
Though it is possible that over time their communications will pick up. Or they could give up and revert to the previous method
LPL came in way overconfident and got their butts handed to them. LGD has to be the biggest disappointment in the history of League.
Relying on Korean players instead of their own, not adapting fast enough to the european laneswap meta, generally having bad communication, some players underperforming...everything kinda came together.
What happened with the imports has caused a huge shift in the power levels. Korea as a whole has weakened a little, Korean import have failed to work well together especially in China. All this actually benefits the non Korean regions to actually have a shot a title without having to face multiple Korean powerhouses.
The double teleport of the west is working out extremely well for this meta which have the asians teams under immense pressure. Also only those who adapt fast to the changing meta are surviving.
All the pressure from these big changes have impacted their lanes/jungles 1v1 2v2s
