Help Players From less Developed Countries

SUP guys, I wrote an email to riot on this topic and got the auto response. So i'm posting it here as well, hoping it finds RIOT somehow.

Dear Riot

I hope this email finds you. Please read this, I really think you would find this interesting. Please read it.

I am From South Africa, I am currently 21 now. I have never seen anyone in any sport or activity to experience this kind of variation in emotions attending said sport/activity like players get when playing League of Legends. It has become SOOOOO much more than just playing a game. The whole vibe, feel, background, i can go on and on, but basically everything surrounding the game is so Insanely embracing and heartwarming that it literally feels like my heart wants to explode.

Being a pro player for this game has been my dream even before the term "pro player" existed, All the way back when i was in school. I've always had this craving to be on a team playing a video game like normal physical sports like football or basketball etc. living together, the competitive play everything. And when LOL came to South Africa (when word got out that there is a online game called LOL and multiple people began playing it) I was mind blown from the first game I ever played. LAGGAYYY as hell, but it was amazing. Then a few months later I saw there is actually a pro league where people play this game professionally, I completely lost it. I went completely crazy wanting to do that.

I practiced everyday for 14 hours. But my earphones, keyboard and everything else around me just got so broken because of the frustration of dying or actually just sometimes moving, because it takes 4 seconds for me to flash after i pressed the key to flash. Like, internet is really expensive in South Africa and certain places you have to use 3g(i baisically mean on a dongle using a simcard for wireless internet) because it is not possible to get adsl and if its possible, its soo expensive and youre line gets nerfed to 250 kb/s for the slightest thing, so already having to overcome the average of 220 to 300 ping we get in South Africa we also get nerfed further with the most crappy internet speeds and reception because you cant get better that a few kb/s on the 3g, so now you play on 300 ping with you're average ping spikes of 20 000 or so every few seconds.

Wanting to play a game SOOOO bad to level up to actually maybe get noticed by professional teams or something to get overseas to be a pro player, and not being able to because you can absolutely not play with lagg like this, is one of the hardest and painful things. Wanting something so bad, and not even for the sake of money or fame but purely to play for a professional team and being in that world as a job or life.

So what I am basically saying or asking: Is there some way, for i don't know giving scholarships or opportunities or something to people from South Africa and other Countries in similar situations to maybe go to a country where it would be possible/players would be able to, actually play on the same ping to have a shot at actually becoming a pro player, and I am not saying to give it for free. Give maybe opportunities to people from a country like this, where you somehow can provide jobs for them for a said period, and not even a high paying job, like something that is just enough to pay for a room, normal simple living expenses, and the ability to play the game. Maybe for example like a lcs gaming house in a sense, a House with lets say 50 rooms, each room has a bed and a desk, like living in a hostel or dorm type setup maybe. Then everyone living in the house could work for riot I don't know, it can be anything from helping with the stage setup crew for lcs or advertisement or maybe helpers to the lcs teams like drivers or makes food or clean houses, anything it doesn't even have to be for riot, it could literally be like watering or something, and most guys like this would be IT students like me final year Studying Multimedia game design at the university of Pretoria and can actually help or work in those lines to make this possible. How about even making a new branch of Riot games that is something like restaurants or gyms, and then these players in this house work for this franchise lactated in the vicinity of the lcs stadium and lcs gaming houses, where the players can go to eat and work out or recreation like ping pong tables and stuff like that, Like me for example would be a fitness trainer, working out proper workouts for the players so that they not overwork the players but also give them enough exercise so they can perform in peak condition for lcs.

And I know, youre thinking, how does this benifit Riot or Lolesports, this is how :

All these countries have so many cultures, like Lets take me for example from South Africa, I am exposed to so many cultures here that is not really wide spread over the world, people always wonder what it is like in these kinds of countries etc. Now you can have these players give seminars or maybe just hanging out with a bunch of people like lets say at a lcs match day or something, giving the whole scene another edge of entertaining people, spreading cultures to other parts of the world in a fun way. This then shows How Riot cares about under developed countries as well and in effect not losing anything because these players are actually working for there expenses etc. Another reason is where the lcs gets exposure to a much bigger "client base" to pick players from with different play-styles and ways of thinking, hidden talent that could bring a whole new edge to the lcs scene.

This could be an amazing thing, and i mean it doesn't even have to be this big, this is just a really awesome idea that I think could really be completely insane. But it can simply be providing jobs to people like me from under developed countries to be able to come to Na or Eu etc to play this awesome game just enough to pay for living expenses etc to get a shot at doing something we all love or would love to do. There is allot of people that would work their hands to the bone to be able to do something like this. It is just extremely difficult to find jobs in NA or EU from here, and the ways there are, costs allot of money which most players don't have. Even just setting up a program where people like me can apply where they can like get us a job and the opportunity to get there just to able to play LOL.

I know I didn't really explain everything really well. But I am sure you understand what I am trying to say. It really kills me not being able to play this game to the full potential that I can, and sometimes just being able to play it. I can promise you and I will bet everything I own that there are an extremely large group of people that would do this if there were an opportunity like this, and that will not just fulfull our dreams it would even be more awesome to also be exposed to overseas cultures as well. I really think this could be great. PLEASE RIOT>>>>
