World's 2017 Tickets?

Whats the deal, are these going to be available to international people hoping to attend Worlds 2017 in China?

So far I've seen nothing said about it. I have friends in China who are looking daily and they've told me that this week there has been a website advertising to reserve your ticket for 400-1200 RMB (about 100-400 AU) which seems incredibly steep, but with the disclaimer that when tickets are actually released the price may even be higher. It sounds dodgy to say the least, so we chose to wait for something more concrete to be announced from Riot, but there's nothing.

For people hoping to visit China to see the event, it's becoming increasingly more difficult to plan with the blanket silence regarding ticket availability and pricing.

Can we get some clarity regarding this please.

Asked this question 2 months ago, which honestly deserved a genuine reaponse. It's now 2 weeks until the event and still absolutely ZERO information about the ticketing situation.

I guess if ignore it until it's over then you don't have to address it. At first I just thought Riot were being inept, but it's bordering on intentional neglect at this point.

Someone fucked up, so you need to make it clear to us international players who have flights and hotels booked and are in some cases already in China, what our situation is. We need to know if there is any possibility where we have access to tickets or whether they are all sold already due to the terrible management of this event.

In what world is this lack of information acceptable?

What is it going to take to get an answer? Do I need to start flaming tyler1 on discord for riot to take notice?

Well there is a guy who answered me on this post. Play in and group tickets were already sold in China the 24th of August. I don't really care about those, but still nothign was said about it nor do we know if there is going to be a batch for foreigners. I booked for Shanghai for the semi-final, so I'm pretty pissed about the situation.

Yeh tbh its kinda disgusting. I know they are probably trying to make it a surprise but there are people who have booked flights and accommodation to an international event and less then two months out we 0 information on tickets.

An actual update 2 weeks later:

UPDATED: Due to unforeseen circumstances, international ticket sales for Semis in Shanghai were delayed. International tickets will be available starting on Monday, October 16 at 7:00 PM PT until October 23 at 7:00 PM PT.

So the only tickets available were the 180¥ seating so all the rest were already sold previously.

All available international tickets were gone in under 2 minutes. Filled out my details and clicked to checkout and error, already sold out. GG.

Absolutely fucking awfully managed from start to end.

Fyi my friend in China was also trying to buy these "international" tickets and didn't manage to get them either so you can be sure the rest of china was trying as well.

HOLY FUCK, its a month later and Riot have basically screwed any international attendee planning to go to any of the events. At this stage my trip to watch the LoL World Championships, is probably going to be an expensive trip to watch it on a computer in a different country.

I cant even fathom how you fail at such a basic principle. It's disgusting the lack of communication and organisation.
