Hello everyone,
I am currently doing a research project about e-sports and if it should be considered as an official sport. Note that chess is considered as one, since it is an "intellectual sport" ( recognized by the Olympic games association). Deoxys132 votesFor the question about focus, it is a little difficult to answer. For both of them, there are times I focus, and times I don't. I used to play baseball, and whenever I was in the dugout, I wouldn't pay much attention unless it was the last inning, but on the field, I would be in complete focus. For video games, I focused more at certain times, but overall not quite as much since there isn't as much pressure to perform, in my opinion. I think esport is a better clarification for league though, but just "game" doesn't quite cut it either. I think competitive video games definitely have a different feel to me, and the LCS makes league seem much more like a sport than a game that doesn't have a league. Good luck on your project!
Niji No Neko San1 votesYes, for that question you can just mark 0 if you consider there is no overall difference. It is just to see how 'average people' see it. I'm also asking professionals how they feel about this subject anyways. For example, whenever i play league myself I focus more than when i used to play soccer in highschool. As I feel that in soccer I only have to pay attention to the ball, my teammates and opponents. While in league I am mostly paying attention to more than twice the things.
