This has nothing to do with location..NA/KR/LA etc..they ban based on the team theyre facing..they study their opponent alllllll season/pre-season long. so they know who their strong champs are..and thats usually who they ban..they dont randomly ban champs that they hate or w.e

This is COMPLETELY wrong

It is a fact that every region develops each own meta, except at the end discovering that either KR or more rarely EU one is the best one

Remember when earlier in the split Fiora was unbeatable in NA and was picked a ton? In the other regions Fiora was picked slightly less and it was far less effective

There is generally no more than 1 or 2 targeted ban based on the team they are facing, the others are to take out a generally strong champ or to force someone on a specific pick in a certain role given the meta

In LCK Finals except the targeted Zilean ban on Faker by ROX and the targeted Nidalee ban on Peanut by SKT the other were meta bans (Maokai, Sivir, Ekko, Ryze that was banned by SKT despite Faker being an excellent Ryze player)

In EU, Origen spent two meta bans in Ryze and Nidalee and only one ban targeted at PerkZ as G2 midlaner, G2 went with a mixed targeted/meta ban in Alistair all the time and the others were targeted at Zven

In NA the situation was different as there were only 2 meta bans, Ryze and Maokai... the others were targeted (Soaraka on Aphro, Azir on Bjergsen) and the other...meh, situational depending on previous games

And this talking only about bans, then you can se the differences in picks too...
