Blind pick should be the default option in ranked and should be standard in LCS

Blind pick is the best because (posting some reasons)

  1. It's really fast because there is no ban phaze.
  2. One trick ponies aren't punished, likewise LCS players with tons of skills with a certain champion are able to show those skills off since their champion can not be target banned.
  3. Because there is no ban system, it becomes more clear what champions are broken/OP and needs to be adjusted.
  4. We finally get to see mirror matchups in their full glory in LCS and high elo play.

Now you could argue that this would harm diversity in most notably LCS. To that I would say, there is already very little diversity. The list of LCS approved champions is a short one already so there would not be that big of a difference IMO. Besides, in pretty much any competitive game, there is very little diversity at the top level. Examples include Melee, Counter-Strike.

I honestly feel my best point here is the 4th one, the mirror matchup one. I think mirrors are very interesting in any game and I think this would be very fun and interesting.

Most of these counterpoints will be based on LCS rather than low elo ranked.

1: That's not really that important. 2: One-trick ponies should be punished, as playing one champion over and over again isn't really showing their skill. Just getting a champ permabanned against you is impressive and can be a good help to your team. 3: Not really. Being banned a lot does definitely show that a champ is very strong, and since it's almost impossible for a champ to have a 100% ban rate, a champ's power will still be shown off at some point. 4: WTF TWO SHENS? TWOOOOOOOO SHENS? But seriously, they're not that exciting.

It's funny that you mention this: Did you know that in LCK when teams go to a 5th game in a Bo5 the draft is actually Blind? No mirrors though.

Other than that, no. It's a terrible idea.

So basically you think it would be fun and interesting to see the EXACT SAME CHAMPIONS ON BOTH TEAMS EVERY SINGLE GAME?
