Why NA has the best chance even over Korea

Dranor·10/3/2016, 3:02:33 PM·5 votes·1,988 views

Let's break down how things between Korea and North America look right now; SK Telecom T1 : 2-1, Samsung Galaxy : 2-1, (everyone's favorites) ROX Tigers : 2-1!

For North America things aren't looking bad at all either; TSM : 2-1, CLG : 2-1, Cloud9 : 2-1!

/////CLG VERSUS ROX TIGERS\\
As far as the CLG vs. ROX Tigers match goes, ROX didn't play to their fullest and underestimating CLG who finished 2nd at MSI May I remind you. I bet the play Smeb had on Kennen made CLG nervous, But the level 1 gank/roam from Huhi set the whole team up for victory(Not to mention he finished 11/1 over Kuro with 3/3). Although ROX Tigers are a powerhouse team who have yet to show their full true potential at worlds, I think the defeat to NA is a major setback on mentality.

/////LPL RANT\\
The only reason I am talking about Korea and North America may seem biased, but on how Europe is playing and don't act like China's LPL doing the best either. EDG slipped just away with another victory to go 2-1.

/////TSM VERSUS SPLYCE\\
That brings my topic now to TSM vs. Splyce. Wow. This match made me jumping out of my seat. Splyce do not know how to close games with gold leads. TSM's support Biofrost is inexperienced on a major stage. With TSM being my favorite team, and watching them all year tells I can see how Doublelift and Biofrost work together. With Splyce being ahead 6.2k gold(roughly), they could've easily taken objectives or even push to victory with some games only lasting 25 minutes. Thus said TSM take the victory making the EU at worlds meme even stronger.

/////SAMSUNG GALAXY VERSUS ROYAL NEVER GIVE UP\\
With CLG and TSM out of the way, looking at Samsung Galaxy against China and LPL's Royal Never Give up. I call their bluff, they will fail to proceed to the knockout stage. Samsung looking much stronger, and TSM proving they can overtake Samsung shows that both of these teams deserve a spot in the quarterfinals. With RNG(Royal Never Give up) being behind 98% of the time, Samsung Galaxy showed China that Korea can do what China couldn't. Samsung has a statement to make to the LPL and everyone at worlds. I will hand it to Looper for playing very excellent against SSG CuVee's Kennen(needs work). Not to mention SSG Crown going 5/0on one of his favorite champions Ryze.

/////CLOUD9 VERSUS SK TELECOM T1\\ Which lastly brings us to the Group B Face off. DISCLAIMER : I do think C9 Jensen had what was coming to him by trash talking Faker : The Demon King. Saying you'd cap Faker was mediocre. The crowd and everyone around the world told Jensen he got clapped for getting first blooded. That said, statistics wise Cloud9 stuck in there to the best of their potentials. With the only Cloud9 player left standing against his former World Championship team, Impact showed that he can sustain himself just fine. The other 4 members of the North American fleet however, crumbled under Korea yet again. With this said Cloud9 showed the world they can be just as good as Korean team, standing tied for 1st place in the entire tournament! (ANX, CLG, ROX, SKT, C9, SSG, TSM, RNG, EDG and AHQ)

/////GROUP STAGE PREDICTION AND WHY\\
10 teams total are dreading their group's day to not mess up. With only 8 teams being allowed to make it to the knockout stage, there is sure blood to be shed. I know that Splyce will have the worst performance with 0 wins. ( NOT BIASED - LOOK AT THE STATS & FACTS ) (GROUP D)TSM is expected by everyone to make it 5-1, SSG 4-2 and RNG 3-3. (GROUP C)With EDG being the fan favorites, they are expected to make it 5-1, AHQ 4-2, INTZ 3-3, and H2k 1-5. (GROUB B)SK Telecom T1 have always been a crowd favorite to cheer on when no other teams posses the traits to like, I believe that SKT will not be first, however second. C9 4-2, SKT 4-2, Flash Wolves 3-3, I May 2-4. (GROUP A) I expect CLG with a dominating victory over the world's favorite team ROX Tigers, to make it first ; CLG 5-1, ROX 4-2, ANX 3-3, G2 0-6. Sorry to all you EU fans who still have some faith in even H2K, but sadly I do not believe they will win another game, unless H2K Can actually silence the entire stadium and I. More than likely these predictions seem accurate. ( I'M STILL WEIGHING IN ON THE CLG ROX SITUATION, BUT GO USA!!)

/////WORLDS 2016\\
This has by far been the best world's to ever watch in League of Legends history. Watching this year has already been a blast. Riot Sure knows how to grab the audience' attention. I mean come on, who doesn't love a little competition? North America are making American League of Legends players proud to call this their homes. While Europe are letting down the entire continent. The scales always weigh in differently every year. Last year North America got destroyed along with every LPL Team, This year both regions show promise, but I still think SSG over RNG because their playstyle is much more aggressive and they know how to take objectives and close games.

To anyone who red this full article thank you for spending time on what I did! Weather you look at a certain section or read the whole thing, Thank You.

Post Below who you think is going to win worlds in the strawpoll ; also post below in the comments you favorite team(s).

As for me I love TSM and have since season 2, I always stick with USA and this year they are making me proud. I still think TSM or ever CLG skins would be cool, and to be honest it might happen.

                                                                                                                    ** Thank you to anyone who reads,**

Tbh if Jensen didn't go full retard and walk towards Faker after seeing Bengi SKT VS C9 game would have been a lot closer. C9 still would have lost because it's Meteos on Lee Sin.

Next time I hope C9 takes some hints from the flash wolves. Dont give blank a control jungler. Either 1st pick Syndra or ban it away. Can't let Faker have that back and Jensen hasn't played any Sol to my knowledge so I don't know I'd he could do it. Duke hasn't looked that good so far, so get impact to do impact things to him. And if Olaf isn't banned get that for Meteos. It looks like blank doesn't seem to understand Olaf but if Zac is banned and it probably will be, I would rather have Meteos on Olaf and Blank on Lee Sin then the opposite. Also Smoothie should get Alistar again and roam.

and as long as nobody decides to be an idiot *cough Jensen cough. It could very well be a close game

CLG Baby!!!!!

That was a great post! Read it all and I gotta say I agree with like 90% of it. It's not late to count anyone out but its not early either. It's still possible that C9 doesn't make it out of groups but other than that NA is doing an amazing job so far. I'd still give the edge to every KR team to top their groups just because it looks like they are experimenting in half of their games, don't be surprised to see KOO destroy everyone on Friday (both SSG and SKT also have a pretty decent chance to win every game).

NAH! Sorry OP. You are just trying to analyze this based on 8(?) games between 6 teams. TSM is prone to tilt when doublelift in on the team. In a best of five, against teams can will draft as the series continues, DL will tilt. He has dont this every year in CLG and TSM. This worlds wont be any different. C9 has a bad jungle meta

Lugg10/3/2016, 11:24:57 PM2 votes

Until an NA team beats Korea in a best of five, my money is on Korea. The Korean teams are masters at making adjustments during a series and you won't get a champ you carried on again that series unless you are going into a counter.

However, I do agree that this is the best Worlds ever already. It's always boring when a team is heavily favored to win it all.

Hemanth10/3/2016, 3:51:12 PM2 votes

Yes, NA has the best chance this time and they have improved a lot

Korean teams adapt really fast, this will be clear in BO games

Chinese teams have always been inconsistent

EU region as a whole was weak coming in, not much to be expected

AHQ has a favorable group as well

Could not care10/3/2016, 4:09:24 PM2 votes

While NA is looking good so far, it was so before 0-10 day last year too. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in top 4 as long as they don't crumble.

KR seems to be experimenting more than actually tryharding. I sincerely hope they will not be able to dominate eventually.

China has many powerhouses, but I don't see their teamplay to be enough to snatch the trophy.

EU... well, things are looking bleak. Unless they bounce back soon, EU just may stay in groups this year.

Wildcards doing really good so far, better than expected. While I don't see them as top 1, they make the groups much more interesting.

I learned that the EU fans shut up after going 1-8 and NA going tied with Korea.

KazaLyn Shao10/9/2016, 1:41:36 AM1 votes

How are they going to beat them now? From their laptops on the flight home?

RisenDarkKnight10/3/2016, 3:32:30 PM1 votes

This was a great bait and switch, lol. "Na is finally doing well at worlds this year, I think they'll all make it out of groups and C9 > SKT! Gives poll with only korean teams as options Well played.

Dranor10/3/2016, 5:14:15 PM1 votes

I fully understand that NA aren't the only teams with a shot. I understand EDG and also AHQ could quite possibly be strong contenders as well. I always knew from season 3 that Korea adapted to the fast switches and their own play of the game. This was only supposed to represent the differences and how well both of the stated Regions are doing.
