With a new Split comes new stars and new stories. Here is one of the players you should look out for in Summer 2015!
Team: Elements
Region: Europe
Position: Jungle
Once Marcel "dexter" Feldkamp joined the starting CLG roster in the 2014 NA LCS Spring Split, the team's lackluster results (they were 4-5 at the time) began turning around. Bringing playmaking, gank-heavy champions like Lee Sin, Elise, and Evelynn out of the jungle, dexter provided more pressure and consistency to the role than CLG was previously accustomed to. With added control of the map due to dexter's presence, CLG's already dominant bottom lane flourished, and together, the team enjoyed the most successful Split (results wise) that CLG has ever had, ending the regular season with an 18-10 record.
But when the Summer Split rolled around and top laner Zach "Nientonsoh" Malhas was replaced with Korean top laner Shin "Seraph" Woo-yeong, communication started to go awry. Games weren't being won as easily as before, and blame started to get tossed dexter's way.
He finished the Summer Split unsatisfied in himself and his team. "The longer I played in the team, the more my confidence dropped, which actually showed in my play at the end of CLG," he explains. "I knew that I wouldn't be happy continuing with the same four players, so I pretty much left."

The outspoken jungler didn't spend much time resting during his time away from the LCS though. Instead, he worked hard casting and doing game analysis for ESL at IEM Cologne and Taipei, while also maintaining his in-game skills. For dexter, the chance for a comeback was always there, and it arrived when the 2015 EU LCS Summer and an open Elements roster finally came around. "I got approached to potentially join Elements and play alongside of Krepo, Tabzz and Froggen, which was the best possible offer I could have gotten."
While Elements certainly had its fair share of problems throughout the 2015 Spring Split, dexter believes with a fresh roster and healthy team environment, they'll be able to turn things around for Summer. "We have veterans combined with fresh blood so I don't think the same issues will be there where egos might clash and the team environment gets bad," he says, while also mentioning how everyone on the new roster is already getting along and showing great synergy with one another. "I'm not sure what we will accomplish in the upcoming Split, but our goals are high and we are [working] very hard."
Early days on the new Elements roster are going well, but the jungle veteran isn't overconfident in what he'll bring to his new team. "In the current meta I think I'm doing pretty good and could probably still compete at the highest level, but I want to become better and get the recognition as one of the best junglers back [like] I once had."
Now back in his home region on a team that has a lot of prove, dexter's in a great position to achieve his goal.
