  1. Summer Split champ.

  2. Points winner between the two splits.

  3. Gauntlett winner. The Gauntlett will be the top four teams on points between the two splits that did not qualify for worlds.
4 plays 3, winner plays 2, winner plays 1. Winner goes to worlds as 3rd seed.

Here is where things stand for the spots from LCS.
Winner of LQ c9 match takes 1. Loser takes 2.
TSM, is the #1 seed of the gauntlett, Flyquest the 4th. Winner of Clutch and CLG will be the 2nd seed and the loser the 3rd.
Optic, Fox, 100thieves, and Golden Guardians cannot qualify for worlds.

As far as EU goes, G2 is the only team to qualify so far, since they finished Spring as Champions and the regular Summer Season in first. This will give them enough points that even if they lose all their play-off games they will still make it in on points.

If G2 wins, F'natic is most likely to make it on points but if someone manages to upset the both of them (let's say something absurd like Rogue gets a massive Play-Offs Buff that catapults them to the Championship), then F'natic needs to win one Bo5 in the Gauntlet to qualify while Splyce/Vitality/Shalke would need 2 or 3 depending on where they place.

In general among major regions (partially except for LEC):

Seed 1: The Summer Split Winner

Seed 2: The team with the most points following the Summer Split Winner.

Seed 3: The winner of the regional qualifier. Teams who qualify with this go to the Play-In Stage to compete to get to the Group Stage. This year it does not apply to China (LPL).

For LEC, the team with the most points does get a Worlds ticket, but their place is decided in a match against the winner of the regional qualifier
