The ability to gift team passes would benefit the league and community

I have been playing League long enough and have spent enough money on it that I have every champion and just about any skin that I would like. I even have long unspent RP sitting on my account because I cannot find anything worth it for me to spend it on.

Earlier today, Riot tweeted the standings of team passes sold per team. When I saw that my team was where I would have hoped, I immediately thought of the unspent RP on my account and wanted to boost my favorite team's standing by gifting team passes to strangers on their subreddit.

I think that my team would appreciate the added support, Riot would not my mind me spending and potentially buying additional RP, and that I would feel some fulfillment knowing that I contributed to supporting my team and potentially rallying new fans to their cause.

While I do not expect to be able to specify which team the gift recipient chooses, that is a worth while risk.

The introduction to team passes has me far more engaged with League than I previously was. I want to earn team rewards, and I would like to spread that to others.

Just my thoughts; what are yours?

It's an overall good idea, and I say that only because unless I'm mistaken all teams receive an equal share of the Team Pass/Fan Pass revenue. Even if teams like TSM and C9 have the most representation they get no more $ than the rest of LCS, so everyone wins. At worst, it shows which teams has the weakest fanbase, and tells them they have to do more to get fans.
