Why did Mordekaiser have 98% pick/ban rate at LCS Worlds, and 0% at IEM San Jose?

I realise they were played on different patches, but I've no idea which changes between these patches resulted in such a massive difference.

Morde is not the only champion that's like this, he's just the one that stood out the most to me. But the same goes for Gangplank for example. What gives?

Basically you can't do the early lvl 2 start you could with morde thanks to the exp changes in the jungle, and AD carries got a lot of early game buffs so he doesn't just auto win buy having superior base stats/lvl advantage like he could before

1: The link you sent was last year's IEM San Jose. The right link is http://lol.esportspedia.com/wiki/IEM_Season_X_-_San_Jose/Statistics/Champions Your statement on Morde is still accurate, though.

2: I think it might be because Morde got nerfed a few times. As he dropped in priority, the players, already used to playing Jinx, Trist, and Kalista and not really wanting to have to take a chance with a Morde team comp, just picked what the standard strong ADC picks. It's also worth noting that the only reason he was played at Worlds was because he was super OP. If he isn't super OP as a melee carry in the bot lane, he's bullied out of lane instantly.

Because most Rioters are like Silver-Low Gold trying to balance for Pro Play while simultaneously listening to all the whining casuals in Bronze-Gold that cry about how #E$ports is ruining the game. So out of touch with their community and the game they develop.

Not to mention that these forums are pretty f*cked. Every thread gets derailed by conflict, and the good threads get a million downvotes because people can't handle anything that they didn't write themselves.
