Those 3 teams had same points. So it came to tiebreaker. That means everything else is discarded except encounters between those 3 teams. G2 won 3 games and lost 1. They are automatically 3rd place. FW and TSM are both on 2 wins and 2 losses. So they play for 4th place.
All TSM had to do was close their 8K Gold Lead game on G2. They didn't.

We won't see a " huge dip" at MSI now that NA are eliminated. Oh no that one region that underperforms to no end for the past 7 years has been ELIMINATED, as a fan of good League of Legends I for 1 will NOT stop watching especially since SKT/WE/G2/FW are most likely Worlds 2017 competition.
It would be WISE for NA to watch and take notes or suffer the same fate again at Worlds 2017.
