We have Worlds and All-stars but why not a World Cup style event? Divided by Country of residency rather than by region. For example from NA would be broken into Canada and USA and from EU there would be a Danish team and a German team. It's fair to say Korea would probably smash the tournament but I think it would be fun to have a more country oriented tournament. For example to see Team Canada ( Darshan, Anda, ablazeolive, WildTurtle and Smoothie) vs Team USA (Hauntzer, Dardoch, Pobelter, Doublelift and Aphromoo) I think would be pretty cool. Again, maybe not close in that specific example but I think it would be a new way to divide our players but an interesting way for us to see more league of legends. Or maybe instead of it being pro players maybe they could ask Solo queue players to join or something, we could see Imaqtpie playing for USA or something and get him to pop off after they win or something. Idk, maybe the logistics of it just aren't viable but I think it's an interesting concept to explore.

It's a concept that's been thought of quite a lot over the past few years, most notably on Reddit. League's competitive infrastructure however makes that very unlikely that the concept will be established for even a year as an experimental period. However with enough time and the ongoing development of franchising, maybe the competition will expand to see a case like that. I say this especially considering that the OW World Cup will remain even with the competitive establishment they made from the OWL and outlying tournaments. Any competitive game can do it with the right global dedication.
