2015 Challenger Series Summer Qualifiers

What teams will get the chance to begin the journey toward the LCS? The Challenger Series Qualifiers is the perfect opportunity to discover new talent hungry for a chance to prove themselves in the League of Legends competitive scenes. We’ve also seen the rise of veteran talent using the Challenger Series as a road to return to the LCS.

What’s the format?

The Challenger Series Summer Qualifiers takes place from May 26-June 9 and will be Best of 3 matches with two groups. The winner of each group will become part of the Summer Challenger Series. *Alternative brackets may be used if pre-qualified teams do not participate in the Qualifiers.

Who’s competing?

The 10th top seeds from the Ranked 5s Ladder from NA. In Europe, the participating teams will be the top 5 seeds from the Ranked Teams from EUNE in odd and EUW in even numbered slots. We’ll also have the Challenger Series 5th and 6th place teams from Spring competing with byes. Europe:
  • Team Dignitas EU (CS 5th place)
  • Mousesports (CS 6th place)
North America:
  • Formerly TSM Darkness (CS 5th place)
  • CLG Black (CS 6th place)
Teams that placed in 4th place, Final Five and Gamers2, are safe and will not compete in Qualifiers. They will return to the Challenger Series for Summer Split.

What about teams from Promotion?

Teams that lost in the Promotion Tournament automatically qualify for the Challenger Series. You’ll see these teams once we start the CS Summer Split on June 23.

What’s on the line?

The Winners of Group A and Group B in the Summer Qualifiers will secure spots to participate in the regular season of Challenger Series this Summer.

Every game of the qualifiers will be available on the lolesports.com VOD hub. We’ll also be diving deeper into some of the unique strategies and champions pulled out each week on the news page.

What is Riot going to do about the Fusion and Winterfox who have disbanded since promotions? TSM Darkness has disbanded too I think.

Are there any articles telling us which teams are competing in this tournament? Is Misfits in the tourney? I watched them win the Alpha draft Challenger League, they could turn out to be a good team with some time together. Crumbz and Alex are still good players.

So i have a question. Last day was yesterday right? and K1ck be placed on 7th , they get qualified for the qualifiers?

Any information about who made the turnament? last day to qualify has past and only 6 days till the turnament but still no update

Only two teams can come out of this.... This is gonna be a good tournament
