Let's be honest. They didn't make it out of groups because Svenskeren is a racist and was appropriately punished for it. As a result his team lost without him, The organization decided to leave him on the roster? Nothings changed about SK, their problem is still in the jungle and until the organization gets rid of him they'll always be lackluster in most of our eyes.
Yea thats pretty much why. They actually performed really well with him in the lineup. Without him they didn't have the synergy with the replacement jungler to really perform well. I didn't watch the EU LCS much to know if those 2 players were dropped for more reason than just the poor showing at Worlds, but if that was a good portion of the weight then they have their information wrong.
Jesiz was pretty solid after poor starting performace and candypanda was not the best adc but was consitent. i share the OP's opinion and say svenskeren is the problem here. sure, after the ban was lifted they performed quite good at worlds hence the circumstances but you could have avoid that in the first place by not having a jerk who uses racist jokes in the wrong places and times. its not like svenskeren was never punished by riot before worlds. only reason riot was so harsh was that svenskeren got attention , like what, 3 times before, for the same shit.
ps: nrated = swag
So they leave Svenskeren in after he's known to talk about 'cancer jew games' in ranked matches and has been banned from a few Worlds games for the same stupid shit, and now they get Forg1ven as well? The guy who has been fined last year for harassment (and directly put out of the Copenhagen Wolves, can't be coincidence) and - quoting from Riot's article from last year - "and also has the one of the highest harassment scores in the history of the LCS".
Wow what a fun team that must be to be around now.... either SK management has a weird f*cked up sense of what they call good behaviour or they're just really blind to the people they are putting in their team.
Holy crap, pass the salt already, EU fans. SK lost because TSM was the better team and won more games and got out of groups. Get over it.
Under no circumstance did I ever see SK leaving the group stage. BUT their lackluster performance was a direct result of Svenskerens poor choice of speech. Not because they we're beaten by TSM. I'd be willing to bet they'd have lost to TSM regardless but they would have put on a much better showing if they had had the core roster. Easiest fix. Get rid of the rotten core on your team. Then you don't need to worry about having a substitute in the future.
If I recall correctly, SK beat TSM when they got Svenskeren back on their roster. Just saying.
Ok, let me just say this:
SK won that game fair and square. BUT, that was a fairly close game where TSM had control for the majority of the match. And SK won off of a poor play from TSM, rather than making a play of their own. Granted, SK capitalized on a foolish decision and won the game, happens a lot. But does that speak more to the mistake of TSM, or the skill of SK?
I honestly do not know how Group B would have gone down with SK at full power for the entire time. TSM was able to beat SHRC, SK wasn't, yet SK beat TSM. You cannot accurately tell the results from a single game.
Just my $0.02, I do not know who was superior between those teams.
And that even with horrible team atmosphere ;) - also the format itself is quiet bad to determine which team is actually the better one.
Obvious troll is obvious.
I can see why they dropped Jesiz, worlds wasn't a fair showing because he was massively targeted, but even at LCS level he never seemed confident beyond at most 3 champs. I do feel sorry for Candypanda though as he played a solid season to get them to worlds and i don't really believe forgiven is a step up - suspect maybe panda believed too much of his own negative hype and stepped away too easily.
Several posters have said Svenskeren is the problem, and they are right, although i wouldn't put his racist douchebaggery as his number one playing fault - like Jesiz he is a pony of very few tricks, and wouldn't have got them any better results at Worlds because with him in they would have lost the second round of games once other teams had worked him out. Surprised they didn't have a good look at one of Dexter/Amazing/Impaler who are probably all more capable when confident.
I think the roster is as good as it could get. If it´s the right decision tho, will depend on the support staff. If the staff can keep the rather "toxic" individuals at bay I can see SK becoming a contester for the first spot in the EU LCS.
