Western fans like to play up the rivalry between North America and Europe -- NA fans think EU is a toy store where they can purchase new mid laners, and EU thinks NA is a monkey zoo. But who can really say which region is right? Maybe both are. Maybe neither. I think fandom is more nuanced than that -- there’s a lot of cross-interest between the two audiences. So I’m here to help you identify which team to root for at Rift Rivals this year:

I really dislike Rift Rivals. The whole thing feels stupid and hokey and boring. I don't like the aesthetic Riot gave it. I'd take All Stars over it any day. But mostly it's just so unimportant and uninteresting.

It feels like the whole thing only exists because of stupid NA vs EU twitch chat drivel. Can we please just have All Stars back? At least then we had crazy formats to make it interesting.
