Post-game Analysis: FNC vs IG Game 1

I will be doing a series of post-game analysis write-ups for the matches at Worlds. With the sheer volume of games in a single day, I will do my best to write these as soon as possible. Please do not ask about games played after the one in the article as I'll be behind from live games. I'm working on the formatting for posting these articles so any suggestions are much appreciated. I decided to break it down into pick/bans for each team, discussing the final comps and how they should be played (what are their win conditions), notable item build paths, and discussing major events at different parts of the game. I chose to do a bullet format so avoid lengthy paragraphs, but any feedback on preference is much appreciated. I also may have gone too far into detail discussing the events of early/mid/late game. I may choose to "trim the fat" in future articles. Thank you for your patience.

You aren't really analyzing. Most of what you wrote down was explaining or writing down what happens. FNC has X gold lead, they are getting tower...etc. Don't get me wrong, you likely don't have enough data like dmg down, taken, ward puts..etc to really analyze it. With what you had, you did fine.

Do you mind elaborating? I understand the bullet points for early/mid/late game are a bit anecdotal. I added a lot of notes that probably could be cut out. I tried to explain a little bit of the effects of what I noticed, such as FNC failure to take bot outer tower early in the game (~4min) allowed Riven to farm and even be ahead in CS whereas if the lane got bounced like it should have, she probably would've been denied more and been even further behind. Going through picks/bans and discussing each team's composition isn't analysis? I would just like to know how you define analysis and what you're looking for. I could note things like gold distribution or damage done in future articles, but I focused on how the team comps were formed, how those comps should be played, and how they were executed in game. Just looking for constructive criticism so any elaboration is appreciated.

Hecarim lanes well vs Riven? since when? He suffers less than most champs, but to say that he lanes well vs Riven....and as a matter of fact, Zzitai was winning trades early vs Heca

I never said Hecarim lanes well against Riven. I said its a decent match-up. Riven wins early, but once Hecarim can hit lvl 7 or 9, Hecarim's consistent damage from Q evens up the lane a bit. Hecarim having ignite though is what allows him to be more of a threat than other top laners and survive the early game. Its certainly not a good match-up for Hecarim, but I wouldn't consider Riven a counter-pick either.

Well, but it can be said the same for many champs, not only Heca Hecarime does slightly better than others in lane, especially once you get past level 6, but he do not lane well vs Riven- and he is not supposed to do it either to be fair - What allowed Heca to survive in that early game, is that Fnatic was completely controlling the rest of the map and that basically made useless the fact that Zzitai was winning skirmishes in bot lane vs Huni since Kakao was busy trying to keep up in the map control game and could not pressure the advantage in Riven vs Heca match-up
