There's only one event left before the IEM World Championship in Katowice: one last stop upon the tropical island of Taiwan, where Southeast Asia and Oceania's finest duke it out for the honors of representing their region upon the stage of the largest third-party League of Legends circuit. Here's what to expect.
NAMES AND FACES AT IEM TAIPEI
Six teams are to duke it out in Taipei, representing a mix of local LMS and GPL competitors. In addition, Australian champions Avant Garde will represent Oceania's recently debuted pro circuit.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Given the number of teams, IEM Taipei will be a single-elimination knockout event. Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be played as best-of-three sets with the grand finals a full best-of-five. As Saigon Jokers and AHQ E-Sports Club are the first-placed teams of their respective regional qualifiers, they are automatically seeded into the semifinals.ON THE LINE
IEM Taipei boasts a $75,000 prize pool for its League of Legends and Starcraft 2 events, of which $50,000 awaits the League of Legends competitors. Outside of the monetary prize, the champions—as with prior IEM events—will secure their place at the IEM World Championship in Katowice on March 12.THE SCHEDULE
