People should stop thinking about North America being the United States alone

I have the same problem here. I would 100% love to see LCS and the other regions on my Dish, It feels really bad to not be able to watch just because of location.

This is a great idea in general, even for people who don't have that problem with internet. Sure, it's expensive, but it would probably be feasible for them to put the games on TV and they absolutely would bring in viewers that way.

I heard a rumor that since World's is in the US this year that ESPN was thinking about picking it up. However I highly doubt that will happen since the last time it aired an eSports thing people called and complained about it, that they had to watch this and not some airplane race or whatever they were originally going to air.

Im sorry to hear that you have issues watching league's pro scene, that has to suck and probably takes away from the experience, while i think that everyone should have the same "seamless" experience without delays i don't think riot would work with companies like DirectTV to my knowledge, they very well may do that and it's just another way to consume pro-league. It wouldn't may sense tho if you think about it to pay for a service that you can get for free, while your situation sucks and i do simpathise with having a poor quality experience, i wouldn't hold your hopes high of riot doing something like that, maybe just watching it the day after ( while not as exciting, would be better than paying money for free content) or even just letting the video cache up data would be a better way. I don't think it's okay for anyone to run into problems like this <3.

You haven't read the first article they spoke about this. EU and NA are doing different formats because they are not sure which they want to go with BO2 or BO3. The rest EU is doing BO2 is because they are use to possible ties in Europe (Soccer) and NA is going BO3 because well.. Americans hate ties. They are also doing this so that the NA/EU teams are not as such a disadvantage during International tournaments.

BO1s leave Western teams at such a huge disadvantage against Eastern teams.

BO1 is done. All international tournaments operate in BO3s.

In terms of points, I think we should just divide all points by games they played this week. So, we can normalize all regions to same format.

I found a season long fantasy site, http://www.tfansport.com/, as an alternative to riot's official league, their fantasy league allows LCK players to be drafted as well (YES! FAKER!) they are doing this way, so players from all regions are on the same starting line.

what about a BO3 system would be so bad about it? i do agree this system LOOKS CLUNKY AND LIKE STAR WARS, WRITTEN BY AN 8 YEAR OLD, it stand to reason that more experience and time on stage for pro-players can only help them improve and do better. The arguement can be made that pro-players work too hard and i do stand with that, i think that they should find appropriate times to relax and unwind ( unlike g2's methods ) without falling behind the game. I say more games the better, im more a fan of seeing which team is better this or that week, not who's better in just one game.

It differentiates between having a 2-1 series and having a 2-0 series, so a terrible team that just gets swept won't have the same record as one that makes a series close.

It will probably make it a lot easier to break up ties between the 4-7 teams because there won't be as many consistent zeroes going into the scoreboard (assuming those teams aren't divided by huge margins like EU was last split).

Anyone who's complaining is just resisting change. We can't always have every game be on one stream, that's not how any actual sport does it and if people want competitive gaming (eSports really is a misleading term tbh) to start gaining some ground as far as being taken seriously goes, it's probably for the best that they start splitting games up onto multiple streams.

As you said, it does give people more options, but it makes sense why people are upset since you can't really get all the hype from the shoutcasters in one game (or it's just a cluster of voices which won't be enjoyable). With that being said though, as long as they keep it spoiler free (and the person actually attempts to avoid spoilers), then anyone should be able to watch a replay of the game later (similar to how people who watch a sport might record a game while watching another, and then watch the recording later).

Really its just 2 and most people only follow one major team so I don't have to much of a problem with it. At least we have more games now to watch anyway with the best of 3 format introduction.

VODs are always available--just avoid Twitter. If you're streaming on Xbox you can probably snap both (one Twitch, one YouTube) and switch between them at any given moment :p

The E-sport is growing, people need to understand that. As a soccer fan, I follow and watch mainly my favorite team's games, and maybe catch a couple others but not every single game in the league.

That's a fantastic point, it doesn't really make much sense if you try to think about it. And it's unfortunate that riot doesn't talk to the community about things like this and see what the community would want to see, kinda like Renegades being ban from the lcs, providing next to no actual proof of what's happening, leaping from one accusation to another with no proof and expecting people to go-along with whatever riot says. It kinda plays the same tune as the star wars pre-quels. Riot under recent memory has either done things to a decent degree for the fans or they simply go off the reservation and everyone is sitting around thinking "what the fuck happened"? I'd really say take anything riot is involved in with a grain of salt because they haven't proven in recent memory that they really care about the fans and supporters being involved in what happens in the game and it's just unfortunate.

Well, If you want to know why, the rest of competitive anything could explain it. First, people are used to their programming being on different channels. I imagine you are too unless you have never had cable. Second, if you really want to see a two games occurring at the same time, I figure its better to watch them both on different channels than on the same channel at the same time. If you must see them both though, I would suggest using a thing called a VOD. or, their youtube stream which they which says, in their own words "For YouTube, we’ll continue to stream all the games on Lolesports". Honestly, I would say using VODs won't be a problem for the newbie gamer as they aren't all so technically deficient you think they are. Surely, anyone who has ever used hulu understands streaming a VOD. And only the most hardcore fanboy spent the six somewhat hours per day, on the weekend, to watch every game live. So I figure most of us have already "bothered" to watch the VODS. But, if you are determined to be victimized and outraged by some mundane change in format, knock yourself out I guess.
