Yasuo in competitive play

Why don't we see yasuo in the competitive scene? I watched Demacia cup , Kespa Cup, and worlds but didnt see any yasuo picks. Why do you think that is? Is it to risky?

there's no competitive play if there's a yasuo, it's just one sided; either the yasuo rapes you or feeds you on a golden platter

Because he's really not that good. He's a solid Solo Q pick if you've bothered to put the time into him but he gets absolutely shut down at the professional level.

In competitive play he sucks.
Yasuo is really good in solo Q where 5 randoms don't know what to do but in the pro scene players/teams know what to do and how to shut him down. There are other champions that can 100-0 but with easier abilities that don't need to be setup for them to do something.
Outside of lane he needs to get fed or he just sucks.

She saw some pro play back during spring split 2016 but hasn't really been seen since.

Possibly? I mean, depends on what you consider that boat to be. If it's the "not seen at all" boat than yes, she's in it along with like sixty other champions.

she has a higher chance of seeing proplay this year as oppose to yasao?

Possibly? It mainly depends on the pro play jungle meta, if jungle tanks are meta she might see some level of popularity since she has a lot of map presence and her nearsight remains useful even into late-game as a form of unusual crowd control. She's still a risky pick for pro play, though, so who knows.

That's interesting. I wonder if proplayers who specialize in top laner marksman can actually make quinn work, players like huni etc.

Not 100% sure, I would say Yasuo is better overall than Quinn but again I'm not sure.

It also depends on what role you take Quinn. Top Quinn is annoying and has a role but once the game gets 30-40 mins long she can be useless unless the right team/ player knows how to play her with a team. You just play safe if you're against a Quinn top.

Have you ever played a solo Q game and you see the enemy team pick Darius or Riven and the game starts? How do you feel ? Kinda shaky and always thinking " oh god I might feed, better play safe" so you do and once the game is around the 30-40 min mark you don't feel scared or doubting yourself do you?
Same thing with Quinn. If it's a Quinn top you play safe, if it's a Quinn adc you just gank her in the first 5 mins and keep doing it until she dies and get dragon and just play safe until dragon is up again and repeat the process.

Think of it like this; you play Vayne-Gangplank-Yasuo-Quinn and/or other carry champions top lane or mid etc you will either feed or carry hard but it's splitting a hair.

Just my thoughts and opinions on the subject so take it with a grain of salt.

oh bro, this aint about me, I am referring to proplay, players like huni and stuff that proved that the can make quinn work at a competitive level. I was wondering if they would pull her out this year.

SKT plays their first game in the LCK 2017. They will mostly likely tell Huni to play tank and just guide him into SKT's Scheme and their play until he has a grip on how to play as a team with a REAL TEAM instead of a forced basket team like IMT was. Once he has a good knowledge on how to play with them, they will then allow him to play those type of champions such as Yasuo,Quinn etc etc.
Not until he learns SKT's ways of doing stuff.

NA teams were usually banning his champs like banning quinn at the lcs last year, I wonder if LCS teams will do the same when they face off against Huni and SKT. Is he really that "scary" as quinn at top?

I'm assuming you meant LCK teams when you said " I wounder if "LCS" teams will do the same when they face off against Huni and SKT. - Yes, because of the history Huni's as a carry top but again in NA. Most likely at the start of the split because of the "fear factor" and the unknowing factor.
Let's say SKT vs KT is the first game then I think KT will ban most carry tops like Quinn and possibly GP as he's a flex pick for top and mid so SKT play Huni as a tank top and react tank v tank. Until teams/SKT themselves figure out Huni's true style.

NA teams were usually banning Huni's quinn and most of his champions because again NA isn't great at developing talent and having the next "fakers" they still have Bjergsen and who else as the next great player for NA to develop? Jensen? Everyone else in NA have played for 4-5 years and don't hold a candle of being the next best because of the systems that they have played under/for or really because they've played for so long that they're soon to retire. Such as Aphromoo, D-Lift, Darshan, X-mithie, Wildturtle, Bjergsen, etc etc.

needs tons of gold. and he is easy to shutdown. but bronzes cant handle him. Also before you talk about high elo no there isnt enough coordination to keep a yasuo down consistently cause he scales well with 3 items. plus his wall is broken.
