Ask The Pro is an ongoing series on Lolesports.com, where we ask a pro player questions from the community. The player then picks the next pro for the community to ask questions to. Be sure to follow us on Twitter to submit your questions for the next Q&A! In our last Ask The Pro interview, we talked with Erlend "Nukeduck" Våtevik Holm about keeping up with the EU LCS' mid laners, solo queue advice, and nuking ducks. He also had a question for Gambit Gaming's top laner Lucas "Cabochard" Simon-Meslet. Nukeduck: Give me some tips and tricks for playing full-AD Jarvan IV in top lane! Cabochard: First, you build all the attack damage items you can. Then press R on the enemy AD carry. Auto-attack him and it's one kill. Then you can dance on his body. Oh, and feel free to play Ignite. Lukas: I like your name because it's quite original. Do you like it? Where did it come from? C: Yes, I really like the way it sounds and its meaning. It comes from a French rap song. Rulo: Do you think this split is the start of a new generation of carry top laners, like Huni and yourself? C: You could say that. At the very least, we see way more carry potential from the top laners this split compared to last year. It's refreshing. Zeyn: Why did you choose to play top lane? C: It was a while ago, but I think I chose it because it was a lot of 1 vs. 1 fights with Ignite. And the kind of champions played there really interested me.

Gambling on Gambit

Drone: Do you get a lot of questions from fans related to Darien? Are you sick of being compared to him? C: Not really [laughs]. Just speaking about his swag from time to time. Kamil: Was it a lot of stress to join a team with such a big legacy? C: I didn't feel so. Since I joined them, the ambiance has been good and it was more excitement than pressure. Ram: Who contacted you to join Gambit and what was your reaction? C: The first that came to me was Edward after the Ninjas in Pyjamas team had disbanded. We were playing duo queue quite often together and he asked me if I wanted to try to play in Gambit. I was really excited to be able to prove myself on the big stage. Candace: Why did Gambit struggle early this season, and what changed that caused it to turn around? C: The first few weeks we had no internet. We couldn't scrim in proper conditions or even play Solo Queue sometimes. On top of that, our coach arrived around the end of Week 2 and then we could finally begin to train and become stronger.

Topping Top Lane

Lemo: What are good matchups for Diana top? C: I haven't found any bad matchup for Diana so far. If you practice her a lot and learn your limits, you'll be able to abuse your power spikes correctly and take good trades. The champion is really solid overall, don't be afraid of matchups. Swag: Will you ever play Yorick top? C: I'm not sure. The champion is kind of boring to play and there's close to no playmaking ability. He still has a strong laning phase, though. But, yeah, that's pretty much it. Akihito: What top lane champion provides the most pressure for the enemy team? C: I guess Hecarim is the hardest to handle at the moment. On top of the usual Teleport plays, there's the Homeguard buff, which is really powerful. Casper: Have you tried using Smite in the top lane? What do you think? C: Yeah, I've tried it on few champions, like Hecarim and Mundo. It wasn't so bad, so I need to try it more, I guess. Cinderhulk is very strong. Mehujaa: Who are the three funniest top laners to play in solo queue? C: Probably Fizz, Hecarim, and Lee Sin! Elian: What do you think of Teemo, Tryndamere, and Vladimir in the top lane? C: Teemo and Tryndamere are quite fun to play and may be underestimated. Vladimir is more of a meta pick, but I still don't think he's among the best top laners.

Baguettes and Sweatpants

Elisa: If you were going to cook one French meal for your teammates, what would it be? C: A good tasty baguette. Sander: If you were managing a new LCS team, what would you name it? C: Paris Péripatéticiennes. Gambit Gaming: What kind of girls do you like? C: Pretty girls. Zokr: Baguette or fromage? C: Hard choice, but baguette! Frank: What size are you, and where do I send the red sweatpants? C: I have enough red pants. I just wish I could wear them on stage! Please buy some for my team and we'll all match. Salem: Goku vs. Superman: Who wins and why? C: Goku wins easy. No explanation needed. Come on! LoLesports: What pro player would you want to answer questions next? Would you like to ask him anything? C: I would like Jean-Victor "Loulex" Burgevin from H2K to answer questions next. I want to ask him, "Do your teammates understand your French-English accent?" Josh Augustine's favorite Urf-mode champion is Swain, he's never enjoyed a Darius, and he will always go for the kill, even when he knows he shouldn't. He currently works as a game designer on EverQuest Next at Daybreak Games. He’d love to talk with you on Twitter.
